Services
At Tall Crane Equipment, we are all about safety. Our very existence is founded upon the idea that safety in hoist and crane operation should be compulsory. As a hoist provider, we offer a variety of services that will improve the safety practices on any jobsite. In 1980, Jim Hickey saw a need for proper training and professional operation in the Canadian hoist and crane industry.
The crane and hoist services that we offer throughout British Columbia include maintenance, repairs, parts supply, delivery, and set-up and take-down for tower cranes and construction hoists. Our experienced and certified Elevator Mechanics offer regular maintenance services, which are available for cranes and hoists across Western Canada.
Crane and hoist rentals from Tall Crane come backed by our excellent service and safety record. With the best response time in the industry, our lifting equipment rentals give our clients the most reliable temporary systems for hoisting equipment and personnel. All elevator and hoist rentals are installed and maintained by fully trained and certified mechanics with years of service in the industry.
One of the most important steps in keeping employees and jobsites safe and efficient is having properly trained personnel. At Tall Crane Equipment, we train hoist operators in the safe use and maintenance of personnel hoists through our Industrial Training School. We also ensure that all elevator mechanics and installers are fully trained and certified before being sent into the field.

Very Very Bad Experience in class ( Theory & Practically) due to un-Experiences instructors. Only one pass out of eight. Making $$1800/ all times . Feel partiality in class . If they fail U in class & U pay again & again $1800/ . It’s there business because there is no other schools for training of Hoist Opetator . As per Technical Safety BC need 21 Hours documented training from Hoist contractor but at Jemes Hickey Training school provides 1st day Theory 8Am to 2:30 pm ( 6 hours including half hour break), 2nd day Practical ( 8Am to 1:30 pm ) (5.5hours). Total study 11.5 hours. 3rd day 3 hours
