Your first acupuncture appointment will usually last about 60+ minutes. We begin with an in-depth conversation about your health concerns, past health history, lifestyle, goals for treatment, and any questions you may have about Chinese medicine and the treatment process. This conversation is an important part of the diagnostic process, and allows Dr. McCollum to get to know you and understand how best to address your health concerns.

I admired this beautiful building so often as I drove by, but when I discovered it was an acupuncture treatment centre, I was so grateful.
As a recovering cancer patient, I needed support to manage the many side effects of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
The team helped me to feel comfortable and safe. Dr. McCollum took time to really listen and understand where healing was required. The first visit provided near immediate relief from fiery nerves in my legs and feet, as well as painful adhesion in my irradiated upper arm.
The last few visits have resulted in less pain, and much greater

I was VERY skeptical about acupuncture because I had tried it before and didn’t notice a difference. When I saw Dr McCollum I was miserable, in pain, dizzy, stuffy, nerve pain and numbness throughout my arms and legs. We are so lucky to have healing elements here in Okotoks. I have referred many patients to healing elements and am always amazed at how quickly they respond to Dr. Jared's care. "He is incredible" is the response I get every time I see them next. I also have been a patient of Dr. McCollum where he helped me heal from a wrist injury that could have really affected my ability to work. I have gone to see Dr. McCollum on and off for the past three years for various health problems. Most recently, I went due to persistent vertigo and dizziness. After my second visit for these issues, my head was clearer than it had been in months. Last year my 1.5 year old daughter was sick more often than well, it was heartbreaking and exhausting. We finally decided to bring her to healing elements. At her first treatment her scan showed her levels were way too high across the board. With a great hand held device he was able to give our toddler a treatment without needles and she enjoyed it! This winter she has has one big illness that she passed through quickly, her immune system has never been stronger and she isn't catching every little thing at daycare. We are so grateful.

My first time trying acupuncture and Dr. Mackenzie made me feel at ease from the moment my appointment started. She did a great job explaining everything she was doing and made sure I was completely comfortable. Dr. McCullum has worked wonders for me for the 10+ years I've been a patient under his care. Between the acugraph and Dr. McCullum's expertise, he knows exactly what's going on with me before I say anything. I may not come as often as I'd like but no matter how terrible I feel walking in, I always feel 100x better walking out. I love getting to relax for an hour while the needles do all the work! I came across Healing Elements after a friend suggested I should check out some alternative healing practices. Jared and his team are very welcoming and friendly. Upon entering Jared's office I instantly felt at ease and enjoyed his collection of Buddha's. My treatment at Healing Elements Acupuncture has given me some positive changes since attending session with Dr McCollum. He was very good to explain things as I asked questions, I have begun sleeping better,… my light heartiness has come back. He explained that it would take at least six sessions to get my body in balance and he was right on. The atmosphere is very soothing and comfortable. I have and would continue to recommend Healing Elements Acupuncture to anyone who has not found the answers to thieir medical needs!

I have nothing good to say about Dr. Jared McCollum and Healing Elements. My experience with Dr. Jared has been so far beyond good, it has been simply AMAZING! I am not a free spirit when it comes to alternative medicine and two months ago I would have said that acupuncture was a bunch of hooey. But, I was at the end of the line with severe nerve pain and conventional medicine. The only hope offered by my medical doctor was stronger pain killers and nerve testing. Dr. Jared has been performing miracles with me for several months now and I am now able to walk without a cane and have eliminated narcotic

From my first appointment I knew I had found a gem. I've dealt with major debilitating pain, loss of use and traveling affects within my body due to an injury.
