I contacted Dennis at Stevenson's about resoling my Blundstone boots. Within a week the boots were returned to me by mail and the resoling on the boots is perfect. I am delighted and highly recommend this business for all your shoe needs. Happy on Gabriola Island!

Used to bring shoes here all the time for repair. Generally quick service and decent customer service with the lady. Most recent visit was absolutely garbage. The guy at the counter said I asked too many questions (I asked 2 questions about sole options available). He literally throws his hand up in the air and says that’s it too many questions and storms into his office and shuts the door! Seriously? Taking my business elsewhere!

Extremely rude service. The customer is always wrong is the mantra here. Don't ask more then one question in a polite tone or risk condescending/rude behaviour. As for the quality of cobbling, resoled a pair of desert boots awhile back that was acceptable work but not for the price point. If you are looking for shoe care products for high-quality leather footwear- collection of polishes and conditioners/renovating products are cheap.

Brought in a shoe that another repair shop told me was impossible to fix (something to do with the interior support wall). Staff was polite and said they could fix the shoes but it would cost about $80 and the shoes looked like they might be similar value. They were right, for me the repair would not be worth it. I appreciated their honest assessment, giving me a chance to make a decision in my best financial interest, without them pushing for the sale.

In my experience this shop did not stand behind their work. It took three tries to re-sole my boots. By the end they badly scratched the leather and the boots don’t look good at all.
In between repairs the soles fell off while was on a backpacking trip so I had to buy new shoes and carry the old ones around for weeks.
When I got back to Victoria and explained the situation they showed no understanding still billed me full price for the repair that should have been done in the first place (for some reason they didn’t replace the entire sole the first two times.)

So, someone had recommended them to me. I had two really good pairs of shoes (from Germany) that I thought were worth fixing. They were pretty pricy and good quality, so I didn't want to throw them out. The customer service is definitely not the best, if you like someone friendly. I personally don't care much about that, because it's a shoe clinic, not a restaurant, but fixing the shoes was $100. Now, I don't know what new soles cost, but 100 seemed a bit much for one pair. The other pair just needed some glue. I was mostly unimpressed that they really didn't put any effort into it for that much

I was looking to have a couple of pairs of shoes “lowered” and a new set of heels put on my favourite 25 year old shoes. It was recommended to me by a very reliable person, who deals in leather, to go to Stevenson’s Shoe Repair. I am extremely happy with the results. The professionalism and efficiency in which the shoes were completed was top notch. I would highly recommend their shoe services.
