Hearing aid fittings: This is the first step towards improved hearing once we have received your new devices. We custom adjust them for comfort and fine tune them to your sound prescription. At this visit we also teach you how to use your new devices and what to expect before your first followup visit one week later.

I highly recommend the Nanaimo Hearing Clinic.
In early January my ear specialist prescribed a hearing test and a tympanic membrane test. I booked with a clinic in Parksville, but was not able to get an appointment until February. So I shopped around and found the Nanaimo Hearing Clinic website. They were able to see me within a week and did not charge me for the tympanic membrane test, unlike the other clinic that was going to charge a fee.
I was greeted by Rhian in reception with enthusiasm and a great big smile. She took care of me and made me feel welcome. Shelagh Merrill performed my hearing

Excellent and professional clinic! I cannot rave enough about my experience with the Nanaimo Hearing Clinic. From the initial appointment confirmation with Rhian, who was warm and welcoming on both the phone and in person, to the treatment received from both Hanan & Shelagh Merrrill, the husband and wife team running the clinic, everyone was efficient, professional and thorough. My plugged ears are now experiencing stereo sound again and all is right with the world. I will certainly not hesitate to highly recommend their services.

A very low pressure approach with a considerable amount of time and patience was taken with the testing process and a full explanation of the status of my hearing loss. I was matched with the right units and given a week to try them out and get use to them.

I would absolutely recommend this hearing clinic.
A few months ago, I decided it was time to have my hearing checked, as my wife was concerned that I wasn't hearing very well. Shelagh did my testing and determined that I have mild to moderate hearing loss. From there she had me try a number of different hearing aids over a one week period each. There was never any pressure to buy or make a decision. Last week I made the choice to purchase my new Unitron hearing aids! I love them, as does my family!

My ears were extremely plugged with wax and, as we don't have access to medical services since we moved to the Island last year, I was pleased to discover that Nanaimo Hearing Clinic provided an ear cleaning service. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and did a thorough job of cleaning my ears. I left the clinic hearing better than I have for years.

It was quite a challenge finding a hearing aid business that would conduct a hearing test in a hospital. Fortunately, we found the Nanaimo Hearing Clinic. Hanan Merrill conducted the test and then when the aids were ready taught my wife and I on their use, maintenance, cleaning, recharging etc. Hanan was very patient, obviously knowledgeable and professional during every phase of his contact with the two of us. He will continue his excellent service as long as its required. Our experience with Hanan is what excellent customer service is all about.

I was having problems hearing people on my phone and loud noises were painful to my ears. A friend of mine told me of his experiences with Nanaimo Hearing Clinic and I decided to try their free hearing test. It was far more thorough than a test I had taken several years earlier. I decided to accept their offer to road test several makes of hearing aids.I was so pleased with the first set they recommended that after trying them for three weeks I purchased a new set. When my new hearing aids arrived they were fine tuned and were even better than the original set I had road tested. This is a very

From reception to final hearing aid delivery; awesome.
This hearing clinic goes beyond standard. For example: A women in long term care at the Nanaimo hospital said her hearing aids didn’t work, I took the batteries (which had no markings or numbers on the battery) to the clinic, got what I needed. The smile on her face was precious, she is 94 years old and can hear again.
I went back to the clinic for ear wax cleaning, hearing test, and new hearing aids. The process is exceptional. Blue tooth setup spot on. They know their products, probably better than the manual.

I highly recommend Nanaimo Hearing Clinic. I found the place online because I was extremely frustrated with the hearing aids I got at another clinic. From my first contact on the phone, I was impressed. The receptionist Rhian is knowledgeable and friendly; she makes visits enjoyable.
Clinic co-owner Hanan Merrill spent hours (over 3 appointments) testing my hearing, adjusting the devices, and answering questions the clinic at which I got them didn’t seem to have time to address with me.
