Founded in 2016, Struthers Legal Services is a Paralegal Firm located in Brantford, Ontario. We had a deck replaced and the person doing the job did a terrible job. Approximately 5 months after it being built the deck began to fall apart. We had 2 other deck companies in and they both advised the deck was not built to "code" and the deck was a complete teardown! We made serval attempts to get some of our money back from the deck builder, to no avail. We decided to contact Jackie and went to see her. Jackie gave us our options and we decided to allow Jackie to send the guy a letter. We truly believed we would not hear from him and we would be taking this case to small claims court! Within

We were extremely pleased with Jackie's services and got the result we wanted which was to get our tenant to pay us who was in arrears on rent and utilities. Jackie drafted all the necessary forms, sent it to my tenant and the board and represented me at the landlord tenant board mediation in Brantford. I would highly recommend Struthers Legal Services for your paralegal needs. My daughter was having ongoing problems with a tenancy and we were both very confused and frustrated, so we finally sought help. We had to sue our contractor after they completely botched our kitchen remodel. We had no idea were to begin or how to do a lawsuit. Jackie walked us through the whole thing and helped us get our money back. After we agreed on an amount, Jackie dealt with the collection of all the payments and handled everything so we didnt have to talk to the contractor at all anymore or go back to court. We needed help to effectively deal with tenants who no longer wished to honour their agreement to move out.
Jackie filed the required paperwork with the LTB and coached us through how to prepare for the hearing. Also, during the actual day of the hearing she was able to expertly guide us through and help negotiate a settlement that would simply not have been possible had we attempted to represent ourselves.

This is the best paralegal in Brantford. Jackie is so knowledgeable and she has very reasonable prices. I have hired Struthers Legal Services a couple of times to evict some tenants that did not pay rent. We had to file with the Small Claims Court to get the rent money back. With Jackie's help, we were able to recover all the lost rent and began renting to great tenants. The process was so overwhelming for me, but Jackie made it so much easier. I would recommend Jackie and her firm to anyone I know.
