Waterloo Region Community Legal
Waterloo Region is a place where everyone has equal access to justice and to the supports necessary to improve their quality of life. We provide legal assistance in specific areas of law to low-income individuals and families ranging from summary advice to full representation. Public Legal Education is an essential component of social justice.

We regularly offer legal education sessions on a variety of topics including tenants' rights, Wills, Estates and Power of Attorney, Criminal Injuries Compensation and Employment Law that are tailored to meet your group's needs. WRCLS participates in law reform activities and community development activities.
Services
Waterloo Region Community Legal Services (WRCLS) is one of 76 community legal clinics across the province funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We serve the entire Waterloo Region including the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge, and the townships of Wilmot, Wellesley, Woolwich, and North Dumfries.
When someone lets you pay for something later, instead of before or at the time you buy or rent it, this is called giving you credit or "extending" credit to you. A credit report is a detailed list of your credit and bill paying history, and other information about you. In Ontario, the law calls them "consumer reports".
Our clinic can help you if you need to have a document commissioned, if you need a notary to witness your signature on a document, or make certified true copies of documents. We can also assist with drafting declarations for various topics. You must be financially eligible for this service. Please contact us to make an appointment for commissioning or notary services.
Canada Pension Plan pays benefits to those who have paid into the Plan while working in Canada and then become "eligible" as a result of a disability. Our clinic offers full services from applying for CPP-D benefits all the way up to representation before the Social Security Tribunal. We invite you to join us in discussing the recent changes to Ontario's housing laws.
As part of Mississauga Community Legal Services' Mobile Legal and Social Justice Initiative, WRCLS provides employment law services.

We offer summary advice to non-unionized workers with questions about their rights in the workplace, covering issues such as unpaid wages under the Employment Standards Act, reprisals under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, discrimination in violation of the Human Rights Code of Ontario and wrongful dismissal claims.

I am on Ontario Works. I reach out regarding two separate matters. First matter I emailed them about has not been responded to. Second matter, today they email asking for my full name (in order to receive any sort of help - which I find to be quite odd); even still I provide my full name, and yet not a single one of them responds and it is nearing their business closing hours; I have tracked and see my last email has been opened. Is prompting me to turn to here. If anyone is considering contacting, know that they don't value your time /the nature of your concern. I have tried numerous times. This

Thanks again Tish, need some time; like you said. Thank you for your kind words, it really meant a lot. You sure have heart, and a code of ethics!
Your kindness to someone special, I appreciated. We spoke; was under the weather, I wanted it done, stamped mailed and delivered. That was team work!
You sure do have professionalism!
If any questions, I'm here. Thank you for waiting; I hope the information was enough? We all don't like to revisit past, only to remember to heal!
Sometimes that is not your first reaction... As humans we all try.
We remember war, to remind ourselves who lived and

Legal Aid in Ontario has only one main purpose - to assist the Government of Ontario, Government of Canada, the Regional and Municipal government, and local government with the structure and direction of THE CROWN to REMOVE ALL EVIDENCE OF GOVERNMENT WRONGDOING especially with regard to COVERING UP the fact that THE CROWN HAS ABDICATED THEIR BASIC FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY IN ALL THINGS. Their only goal is to MAKE IT LOOK GOOD ON PAPER. Take Landlord Tenant or Residential Tenancies Act...if a landlord (or tenant) is made aware of their rights and obligations once about a property in the PROVINCE

I got vital information I needed so I'd like to thank them for that. I did have to wait 45 mins after my appointment was supposed to start in the waiting room where the front receptionists didn't even answer any of my questions for 15 mins. Terrible experience with the front receptionist but the legal advisor did help. She seemed hostile to me when I asked some questions. Overall still a decent service for what you pay (free).
