It's OK... airport is massive. It has bars, restaurants and so on but the downside is when you have to check the luggage. Because the airport is so big queues are just way too long. You have to be there way in advance. Personally, I didn't have time to check the airport after the security gate because I ran out of time even though I was there 2 hours before my flight.

I was transiting.
Arrived terminal 3.
Departed terminal 2.
I need wheelchair assistance for a medical issue.
I was met at 3 and taken to a bus to go to 2.
When I arrived at 2 I asked where my chair was.
I was told to walk and find one myself.
There was another passenger that had more difficulty then myself, she used 2 walking canes and could barely take a step.
After asking and then arguing with the ground staff, I walked to find the other passenger a chair first and then eventually one appeared for me.
Their attitude toward myself and the other passenger was disgusting, disgraceful and

Dubai International airport has 3 different terminals. They have dedicated train line to connect between the terminals. Tram line is attached with the airport and accesible to a number of area of the city. There are a number of restaurants inside the boarding area. Lots of duty free shop of several brands are available. Rest rooms are clean and plenty. Lifts and escalators are present. Offers all the amenities required by an airport.
Tax refund is given to travelers in 2 steps - first you will have to show the goods before check in and then collect the refunds after immigration is done.
The improvement

Large airport with lots of opportunities to spend your time while waiting for your flight. There are loads of restaurants and Shops in the terminals. The initial check in queues were very long, but overall organization was good. You can get to a lot of places from here.

It all depends on who you are flying with which will determine your experience. If you are flying Emirates you will have a pleasant and as expected experience.If you are flying another airline it will be less than spectacular consider where it is this is Dubai.

Smooth and easy experience considering current (Jan'22) COVID situation and compared to my other airport's experience.
Transit Visa:
- You can apply for transit visa on the airport from the Dubai connect office at ground floor of Terminal 3.
- The process usually takes approximately 30 minutes.

The airport is good with a lot of facilities that include both free and paid. There are showers available at the airport, comfortable lounge chairs, a number of of airport lounges with pod entrance and a variety of restaurants. Money changers are also available here. It’s a big airport so you might have to walk a bit to reach your desired destination in this airport.

Most crowded and busiest airport i ever seen. Almost it was nice experience. But staff should be more polite and respectful. They don't treat everyone same. Hopefully management ll improve there staff quality.

Dubai International airport is on a different level of Luxury compared to the rest of world. It is like a mall with many amenities and looks amazing. It is super clean with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from.
It is such a welcoming feeling in Dubai, even if you are just here for a layover. Plenty of space for parking, being nearby the main city, and having plenty of options to choose from in terms of car rentals and currency exchanges.
