Currently Malawi is classified as one of the poorest countries in the world, using an index that combines life expectancy, education, and per capita income indicators. Faced with many economic, social, and political challenges, Malawi needs help from external sources to address the many factors plaguing the population.
Health care is no exception. In 2001, Lifeline Malawi was invited by the Ngodzi community and its leaders to begin to give vital health care to a community in great need. With the help of generous supporters, our clinic has grown over many years to become the Lifeline Malawi Health Centre, offering wide-ranging services and care, plus outreach and health education to a population of over 200,000 people.

Malawi, is a sub-Saharan African country that is largely agricultural and making efforts to overcome decades of underdevelopment. The backbone of the Malawian economy is agriculture, with the majority of its people being subsistence farmers.
