Services
Kirk Kove is an Ontario family cottage resort known for incredible walleye and bass fishing. We are located on the south shore of Big Gull Lake, in Southeastern Ontario, in the Land O'Lakes region and in the heart of the Canadian Shield. The property has 21 cottages, a recreation hall, general store, and with 1,425 feet of shoreline, you'll experience spectacular early morning sun and amazing sunsets.
All of our cottages contain quality beds, fully equipped kitchens, 3-piece washrooms, electric heating, living rooms, water coolers, and a boat dock. Fees apply for docking a second boat. Some cottages have screened in porches and many include a deck with water front views. During these seasons our cottages are available weekly as well as nightly, with a two night minimum stay.
It is a priority of Kirk Kove to have your boat repaired as quickly as possible for the enjoyment of your stay with us. We have a good working relationship with the local marine dealerships, with ready available parts, to get you back boating quickly and economically. At Kirk Kove we offer a number of activities and services to make your stay with us enjoyable. Big Gull is a pristine, unpopulated lake with many excellent fishing spots which vary depending upon the time of year. When you arrive at the Resort ask where the fish are biting and the best lure and bait recommendations.

We had an amazing stay at kirk kove!! The cottage was clean, airy, and topped with a beautiful lake front view. The owners are extremely kind and so incredibly welcoming, they really made us feel like we were… apart of their family! We took advantage of the incredible fishing and boat rentals available...pro tip, if you ever run into their son, willy, on the dock make sure you're listening...he knows all of the lakes secrets!! We can't wait to go back next year! Thank you Steve, Julie, and Dodie for the amazing opportunity to have such a wonderful home away from home.

We highly recommend and if we could give 10 stars we would. The hosts and everyone was super friendly and always so helpful. We loved our cabin that was equipped with everything we needed for the week. The… fishing was fantastic. We so loved to see and hear the lions on the lake. Getting free use of kayaks was an added bonus. We enjoyed our stay so much and cannot wait to return again. It was a great place to detach from our busy everyday lives in exchange for quiet relaxing by the lake reading a book, having a campfire or meeting new friends. Wifi is available at the rec hall when needed

We had an amazing time and the hospitality was above and beyond. The owners treat there guest like long time friends. Looking forward to going back. Fishing on big gull lake was also great. There is so much to do at this little gem hidden away on the lake. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

This was our 32nd consecutive year going to Kirk Kove Cottages. We have been meeting family members from North of Toronto there for reunions for years now. It has everything that you need from swimming to amazing fishing on Big Gull Lake. You will not be disappointed if you book a cottage here. Had a fun and relaxing week here last week. I'd definitely go back. The lake is clear, clean and cool for swimming. My husband rented a boat and fished. Owners are welcoming and friendly. Our cottage had a screened in porch, was right on the water and had an amazing picturesque view. Kayaks and canoes are included in your stay.
