Newmarket Co-operative Nursery School is a preschool for children from 2.5 years to 5 years of age. Our school is designed like a home, to feel like home. We encourage growth and learning through play and creativity, in a loving, nurturing, caring environment. Our curriculum is play-based. This sparks a natural desire to learn and positively develops the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of pre-kindergarten children.
We also offer nutritious food by our on-site chef. As a non-profit organization, Co-op families form the backbone of the school. This offers opportunities for involvement in policy, fundraising and helping to participate in the preschool programs.

Services
Children thrive when they are in a supported, caring and loving environment. Our teachers provide a positive, warm, safe and supportive environment. The Newmarket Co-operative Nursery School provides a play-based, child initiated program based on the interests and needs of the individual child. The staff document and observe the children's play in order to plan and reflect.
Make sure your child keeps that brand-new Inside Out lunchbox, those $70 "indoor" shoes, or the new, awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hoodie by slapping on Mabel's Labels! Mabel's Labels donates 20% of each purchase to our school, so it's a win-win: you keep your stuff plus you raise funds for NCNS!

My son quickly and easily transitioned here. The parent involvement and open door policy makes you feel welcome and a part of a community. The staff is friendly, helpful and caring. It’s a relaxed atmosphere that allows the children to learn and develop through play and their interests. My son also enjoys the meals that are homemade on site. It is a perfect stepping stone between home and/or a home daycare and JK.
