All 14 cottages and 2 trailers are lakefront or lakeview, have a bathroom with a shower, a fully-equipped kitchen, 1 to 3 bedrooms, propane or electric heat and satellite HD TV. The 2 trailers have air-conditioning. And 7 of the cottages are open year round to enjoy all four seasons including ice fishing season. There are boat and motor rentals, docking and launching facilities, bait and ice, kayaks, pedal boat, SUP and canoe rentals and ice fishing huts available for our guests staying at the resort.

Lake Nosbonsing is approximately 1600 acres with its irregular shape. The lake is fed by Depot Creek and local springs, and has the River Kaibuskong flowing out of the east and running into the Mattawa River. It's separated into two halves by narrows and each part of the lake having several beautiful bays to fish in.
In 2020, we had over 30 inches of ice on the lake in March and great weather for ice fishing until the end of this season. Northern pike, walleye and yellow perch are the main ice fishing attractions on Lake Nosbonsing. Walleye (Pickerel) create the biggest challenge to anglers during the ice fishing season.
We have hundreds of kilometers of trails in the area for you to explore with your ATV, UTV or dirt bike! In fact, our local Lions Club runs a great ATV run. Have fun on the trails, enjoy an excellent dinner after your ride and a chance to win great prizes too! Just a reminder to bring your driver's license, ownership and insurance for your ATV, UTV or dirt bike.
Our 18 hole miniature golf course will amaze both golfers and the mini putt crowd with this incredibly fun putting round! Played with just a putter, our mini-golf course follows a unique golf course design with long rolls, challenging breaks and hazards. Groups of 10+ or guests staying at the resort, the rate is $5 (ages 13 years and over) and $3 (ages 6 to 12 years).
Whatever your speed, the lake offers something for every water lover and boating enthusiast, from adventure seekers to simple relaxation in the spring, summer and fall. At 11 km long and 5 km wide, there is plenty of room to spend hours at your favorite water sports and activities, from waterskiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing or tubing, to touring, fishing, paddling a kayak or canoe.

We had a great week at Big Moose Camp. It was VERY clean, lots of wild life, great fishing and wonderful hosts. We have stayed at other cottages in the area and none have been as clean and welcoming as Big… Moose Camp. The cottages have all the supplies in the kitchen you would need and are in great shape and useable. We would recommend this camp to anyone that loves the outdoors.

My family has been going up to big moose for 16 years. The kids love the water and the water raft. The water is very warm and peaceful in the summer. ray and shelly treat you like friends not customers. the cabins are very cozy and have a very strong cottage vibe. the kids also love playing manhunt at night. I definitely recommend staying there.

We have been coming up to Big Moose for 12 years....and I can't say enough good things about this place. First and foremost, Ray and Shelly are amazing people. It doesn't matter how busy they are...they will stop and talk to you for as long as it takes, always with a smile, and a willingness to help. They treat you like old friends instead of customers and that goes a long way. The cottage is so clean and comfortable. The whole camp is so very well maintained, with Ray constantly on the go. I always say that Ray has two speeds...fast and faster....lol...he never stops, and Shelly is always on top

Shelly, the owner is a fabulous host . We could feel her warmth greetings and receiving and up to Checking out guests . Shelly would remind her guests ( us) where to eat and what to do for a fulfilling vacation . We should have rented the boat for an excellent fishing experience. It was our first fishing license and we are still adjusting on the rules . We will be back .

We had a really memorable Christmas vacation at Big Moose Camp. Shelly and Ray are amazing hosts and run the place with attention to every little detail. The cottages are super clean and cozy, everything works, and the lake view is gorgeous. We rent cottages often and were pleasantly surprised with this level of quality and comfort for the fare price charged. Our kids cleared an ice strip on the lake from snow and went skating there at night with lights and music, then were getting warm at the fire under huge beautiful pine trees. Unforgettable.

Shelly and Ray are two of the hardest working people we’ve ever met! Our family spent a week at the camp. Spread over a cottage and a trailer, each impeccably clean and ready upon our arrival.
The staff are friendly, accommodating and even asking us if we need a top-up on fire wood every few days.
We rented a kayak and a paddle board, each brought right to the water for us less than an hour after we requested it!
Our family checked out and we are already planning next years return! Thanks everyone at Big Moose Camp!!

This is our second year returning to Big Moose Camp on Lake Nosbonsing. Ray and Shelley are awesome hosts. Cabins are well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Beds are VERY comfortable (we like firm mattresses!) Ice huts are clean and come equipped with everything you need including propane lantern, wood, kindling and drilled holes. We have already booked our third return trip for next year!
