Carp
Carp Co-operative Nursery School is a place where children can broaden their social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth through teacher directed and self-directed learning. It provides children access to a variety of play materials and a safe space to develop along side others their own age.

The school offers an atmosphere where children can experiment, be free and spontaneous, and where they can take pride in their own accomplishments and learn to trust friendly, helpful adults. During the school year, the program runs Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. In the summer, the program runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Services
Carp Co-operative Nursery School was established over forty years ago. Located in the village of Carp, the school is surrounded by mature trees and many historic buildings. Our classroom is within the Anglican Parish of Huntley Hall and we have a spacious, well equipped space. Outdoors we have a large grass-filled yard with a hill, a sandbox and a variety of outdoor toys.
As a registered Early Childhood educator, I have over 25 years of experience working in the field. I am a member of the College of Early Childhood Education as well as the AECEO. I am also trained in First Aid and CPR. I have enjoyed being a teacher at the Carp Cooperative Nursery School since 2012 and I feel fortunate to be part of this school community.
The school hosts two fundraisers each year. The first is our holiday craft and bake sale, which showcases many local artisans, features delicious baked goods and a raffle full of prizes from local businesses. Whether you need to label your kids' clothes or your kitchen canisters, Mabel's Labels has all of your needs covered!
At Carp Co-operative Nursery School, children have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities that help them learn and grow. We strive to provide a positive school experience and to help support parents when it comes to early childhood education. The Province of Ontario licenses the school through the Ministry of Education.
The group comes together to enjoy stories, songs, games, discussion, dance and many spontaneous events. This is a time for everyone to come together to share ideas and for the children to learn to be responsive group members. During this time, all children are encouraged to stay in the circle area for supervision purposes but are welcome to just listen.
