Dr. Shafiei Graduated from Dalhousie in Halifax. When he visited Collingwood, the decision to move his family to live and work in here became an easy one. Dr. Shafiei loved the people in the community and, of course, the beautiful setting. As a General Practitioner, Dr. Shafiei is able to perform most treatments; however, his favorite area of work is in Sedation, Oral Surgery, Root Canal Therapy, and Prosthetic treatments.
First times to the Dentist are always a bit scary but Olivia didn't mind it at all. She along with her sister's had a great visit with us! Nice, clean and shiny teeth is the way to go! Luke visited our office recently to receive some fillings and was a very co-operative patient. It was a big step for him and his family after years of anxiety.

Never disappointed about going to the dentist here; the service is great and the staff is absolutely perfect. Dr. Shafei is not just a great dentist he's a great person as well, very clean and welcoming, anytime I have an issue he calls me back not the front desk, he gives his personal cell out if you ever need anything. the only Dentist I want working on my teeth.

I have been going to Hume Street Dental for many years and have had a few issues. None of my issues have ever been with either dentist or the dental assistants, always with the office staff and today was no different. Today I took my children for routine checkups. I took both of my children in at separate appointment times and went in a 3rd time to book followup appointments and make sure everything went through properly on my insurance. The receptionist then blindsided me with a new "Covid Surcharge" for PPE of $15.00 per patient per visit. Not only was I in 2 times before this but also received

Great experience. Dr. Shafiei is a great dentist and very caring. He even gave me his cell number to follow up with him the day after a procedure just to see how I was feeling. I had a dental emergency on a holiday weekend, I called him and he immediately called in a perscription to help with pain until I could get into see him. I also bring my 8 year old to this office as well. He always has a great experience. This team is great with kids, very friendly. The waiting room has games and toys for the kids while they wait. My son looks forward to looking in the treasure chest for a prize at the end

I signed up as a new patient and had an absolutely wonderful experience here today. Their new patient questionnaire was very thorough and made me feel like they really wanted to know about any concerns I had. The dental hygienist I saw was a young lady and she took photos of any teeth that were concerning and then took photos after cleaning to show the difference. She did an excellent job and took thorough notes of any teeth that need to be monitored. The hygienist and dentist also explained any problems I was having and some possible solutions to fix it. I was very impressed.

I have been reading lots of reviews on here regarding the front line staff not being great. I actually have the complete opposite experience. The front line staff was amazing, every single hygienist was amazing and have nothing but great things to say. Dr. Shafiei and his assistant are where my terrible experience lies. I have had many procedures done over the years and have never felt treated so unprofessionally by his assistant. She was extremely rough just taking simple routine X-rays , I voiced my opinion of my displeasure and discomfort only to get " it doesn't hurt or your over reacting"

When my Dentist had to take a medical leave of absence I was faced with finding a replacement Dentist, Hume Street Dental Care and Dr. Shafiei were recommended to me. I am very satisfied with the complete staff, and Dr. Shafiei is very friendly, competent and thorough. He makes recommendations and doesn't try to upsell. He wants to keep his patience and offer what is affordable and best for you.
