Shady Pines Camp Ground
Shady Pines Campgrounds is a clean, quiet, family-oriented campground, nestled in a picturesque country setting amid the rolling hills of Ailsa Craig, Ontario. Between the sun-dappled river that winds its way alongside the 109 acre campground, the spectacular sunsets, wide peaceful meadows and unspoiled wooded areas, you'll soon realize that Shady Pines is truly a magical place.

Ideally located in the Southwestern Ontario countryside, Shady Pines features amenities such as 2 swimming pools, Big Bouncer, playground, sand volleyball, basketball, baseball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, bocci ball, fishing ponds, 2 miles of groomed trails, 6 hole golf course, chalet and pavilion, clean washrooms with free hot showers, and much more!
Services
In the rolling meadows and forests north of Ailsa Craig, Ont., there lies a hidden oasis where families have etched memories of outdoor adventure together for more than 40 years. When Wilfred Schlegel bought the land in the 1970s, he pictured a place where people could escape the bustle of modern life and reconnect with the peace and tranquility that can only be found in nature.

Been Coming to this campground for 2 years straight. Had officially made this my favorite spot in a long time. This year we had one member of the staff constantly complaining about our noise ( we were not loud) which made it a bit uncomfortable, however management approached us to let us know it was a misunderstanding and it was dealt with in a very professional and friendly manner. We have never had a problem before, and we love coming to this park. Overall the our weekend was very nice

My two children and I had a great time during our two night three day camping trip to Shady Pines. We brought our bikes. I felt safe letting my kids ride around the park on their own. They had an amazing time discovering the park.

We booked along with friends and the campsite staff arranged it so that all three campers faced inwards into a common area. The grounds are very nice with the usual amenities such as playground and pools.
The facilities were well maintained, clean and accessible but their campground store is extremely limited so plan accordingly. They have some basic food items like milk, eggs, margarine, chips and ice cream, along with some toiletries but there was no camper/RV supplies.
There is a town just 8 minutes away with a well-stocked grocery store so you can always drive there. Overall, the family had

Good campground with good people. Decent size with plenty places to do catch and release fishing. 3km of bike trails. However the store is rather small, only your very basic things, almost unacceptable, however there are slushies 🙂. Has a pool and other activities (Some are closed, but the pool, horseshoes, and some others are open). However, in some parts of the camp ground their are bugs, really only in the back lots though. Good clean campground 🙂!

Adults and kids loved this place. I'm going to book every weekend here for a month. Reasonably priced. A pool AND small kiddy splash pond for little ones. Fishing, GOLF!!, jumping pillow, play grounds, events on weekend. We where there during a yard sale weekend (amazing fun, good deals). Owners where working super hard to make sure everyone's accommodation where met.
When I arrived, we registered, then we where taken by golf cart to our over night site. There was a little off roading involved, but we made it. The way in which we had to park was not how I would have done it myself HOWEVER... just
