Amazing bikes. Rented a Giant TCR Advanced road bike and I loved it. Also they make sure the bike is fully suited right for you before you take it out :)). Will definitely rent from them again next time I’m back in Ottawa

Had an amazing experience with Rent a Bike!
Reserved 3 e-bikes for Sunday morning. Got there at 10am and they were ready to go. We were off within 5 minutes.
Went on a beautiful ride to Gatineau park. The bikes were a ton of fun and a great way to see the park.
On my way back however, I got a flat tire :( But the owner saved the day and picked me and the bike up. Upon arrival, they did not charge me for repairs. I felt that they went above and beyond to help me out, and so I insisted on at least paying for the inner tube replacement.
The staff here is super awesome and genuinely care about

We rented 3 ebikes Last week Oct.9/21. I am 78 yrs old and the bike they rented me suited me to a tee. I had a issue with the deposit on the bike but turns out the bank was the problem. Thank you guys keep up the PR with the tourists.

Great service and bike tune up. More expensive than some other tune ups I’ve taken my bike to, but with RentABike I know my bike is getting a careful, quality tune up and the staff will put in the effort to make my bike as good as new.

Having to visit Ottawa for 2 weeks and leave my ride at home wasn't fun. But then I found RentABike and their great offerings of bikes. I reserved a TCR but my schedule in town changed and I had to slide the rental for a day. That got me into a Defy as the TCR wasn't available. After 3 days on the Defy I was able to swap back onto the TCR for the remainder of the week. This gave me an awesome opportunity to compare features of the 2 bikes which were more different then expected. Both strong rides for what they were designed to do and a lot of fun. I was able to have some good workouts on the Gatineau

Thank you Rent a Bike Ottawa! I never imagined I could rent such a great road bike (Liv AVAIL) to keep riding while visiting my elderly mom. Friendly, excellent service, including proper seat height adjustment, pedals of my choice, and great route suggestions. Cyclists visiting Ottawa - bring your helmet, glasses, kit, shoes, Garmin, and Garmin mount and Rent a Bike Ottawa will set you up for exploring!

Rented a Giant Revolt 0 gravel bike for a week in mid-October to see if I would enjoy riding off the beaten path. The bike was in great shape and stood up perfectly all week to some off-road adventures...and the price was very reasonable! I won't hesitate to recommend this shop to others.

We rented two bikes and rode down to Dow's lake. Somehow in my genius manner, I lost the key to the lock at Landsdowne Park after I locked up the bikes. My wife called the bike shop. The owner was beyond accommodating. He drove down and brought us another key. Since they were closed, he told us to just put the bikes with the concierge at our hotel.

He was super nice and very professional. We drove back at our leisure and put the bikes away. My wife got food poisoning that night, so I was unable to return the bikes until after noon the next day, as I was caring for her.

They didn't

Unfortunately I was late in the day and could not rent a bike, but the staff was not very friendly and made it seem like I was a nuisance when I asked them questions

Very convenient if you are staying in one of the hotels in city center. It is hidden under a bridge so just look for steps going down beside Wellington on the Parliament Hill side of the road. They are on the east side of the canal so it is best to take the steps down beside the elevator at 1 Wellington. Nice people. Nice bike. Beautiful, easy ride along the canal.

Very convenient location for bike rentals. They even supply you with a map with all the routes you can take around the canal. Their bikes were high quality and gave me and my boyfriend a very nice time riding around for an hour and a half - to Gatineau and back.

Flew in from San Diego on vacation and wanted to ride around Gatineau Park. This was the only place I could find that had decent quality road bikes(Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1).

I called them the morning of my ride to reserve the bike and requested for SpeedPlay pedals to be installed. Upon arrival, the bike was set aside with pedals installed.

I got on the bike, did my self assessment for the fit and they adjusted it accordingly.

My only issue was they were not capable of adjusting the hoods(rotating them inward), but it was manageable.

For that bike(not sure if it applies for all), there

Excellent location, good selection of bikes at fair prices. If not renting a comfort bike for path, highly recommend bringing your own saddle if doing longer rides on performance bike. They don't provide lights and some bikes don't have bells, but they do provide locks, bags to carry stuff and helmets if you wish.

The tall old guy is rude. Avoid him, if possible. After a few hours on a pinchy bike seat on a performance hybrid, with no offered seat option, I asked if they could switch in a more padded seat from a comfort bike to put on the performance bike. He said 'you are already

Great place to rent a bike and ride down the canal. Hidden under a bridge in downtown Ottawa, they have hundreds of bikes for families visiting Ottawa. My kid really wanted to ride a bike to the World Cup match at Landsdowne park, and they were flexible enough to make it work without any hassles.

I needed to be in Ottawa for about a week to attend a couple of conferences, and wanted to be sure that I could do a little bit of training for a big ride back home later this summer. I contacted these folk by e-mail and they quickly responded with a reserved bike (one of the 21-speed Giant Defy all carbons). They were extremely helpful in changing the date of my reservation several times to accommodate my schedule and the weather. I brought my own helmet and shoes with Shimano SPD cleats, and they provided SPD pedals, a portable pump, and a seat bag with tools and flat repair kit. Cost $70 CDN

Seem to have a pretty You leave your credit card number then they charge you for the time used. Cost is $9/hour, we were gone for one hour 45 minutes but they only charged us for one hour and a half (rounded the time down).

Upon asking for washrooms we were directed to Chateau Laurier... not sure if its reasonable to expect washrooms there (Its right under the East Plaza Bridge, near the Chateau Laurier of course
