This stream is a great place to start dancing! It includes our Star Academy for preschool-age dancers (we offer world renowned syllabus), Adult classes (pop-ups too!), and a variety of dance styles for dancers ages 6-18! See our class options below! This stream is through audition only. We hold our auditions in the Spring!
In this stream there are three tiers to differentiate age, level, and number of competitions that will be attended. There are bonus performance opportunities and pre-professional experiences offered. We are proud to be RAD certified at Seymour Dance! This means your dancer will learn the internationally renowned RAD Ballet syllabus, which offers grades Pre-Primary through Grade 8 along with Vocational Studies.

We are extremely proud and excited to announce to you all that Marissa, Lauren and Katie have gone in together to purchase Seymour Dance! It has been a long journey to get to this moment, but we finally made it and are so excited to celebrate with our dance family and community. The three of us grew up together dancing at Seymour Dance from a very young age and had the benefit of learning to dance as one of Sonia Ellis' dancers.
Uniform requirements help us achieve a professional look, encourage focus and classroom etiquette as well as self-discipline. When you dance with Seymour, you become part of our dance community!. We're working towards a sleek new look!
All dancers in our recreational program attending Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Stage, Broadway Bound are strongly encouraged to wear a uniform of all black, form-fitting clothing (tank, T-shirt, long-sleeve, yoga pants, bike shorts) and half soles "foot undies" (sling back).Any other Seymour Dance merchandise (any colours) is also allowed.

Our hearts will forever be with our dear and lovely Sonia Ellis; the late Artistic Director, Owner and Matriarch of Seymour Dance. To honour her tremendous generosity, we are honouring her dream of making a scholarship fund for the sole purpose of supporting dancers to pursue their dream of following their hearts and their passion.
Want to try out a class before joining? Drop-Ins are a great way to try out different classes to find the perfect fit for you! We offer regular drop-ins throughout the season and if you would like try a class simply follow the steps below! I am aware there are risks associated with the participation in the class, including risk of injury, and you consent to participation in spite of such risks.
Everyone can be a STAR at Seymour Dance! The Star Academy is a preschool-aged program. It is designed to fully immerse your child in dance-play and socially interactive environments that develop fundamental physical motor function and social skills that are necessary for school readiness!

My daughter has danced at Seymour Dance for nine years and it is now like her second home. With the guidance of her teachers she has not only grown in dance ability but has learnt discipline, hard work and focus. I cant say enough positive things about our experience at Seymour Dance. My daughter started ballet just before her third birthday and now dances with the junior ballet team. The Nutcracker performances are done with the utmost professionalism. Beyond that - every staff member treat the kids as part of a family. It is truly my daughters home away from home.

My daughter has been dancing with Seymour Dance since grade 1 ballet and she is in grade 6 now. The most look forward to event for her is the yearly Nutcracker performance, where she gets to try different dance routine and now, a chance to audition for key roles. She is also in other competitive dance classes where she gets lots of exposures plans out by the studio. Best part of her dancing in Seymour Dance is she gets to dance with her friends and neighbors in the same community
