During the mid 1950's, Pietro Ferragine immigrated to Canada to start a new life with his family. He worked hard as a labourer on the marsh to provide his children with a good life. In the early 1960's Pietro and his brother Leonardo decided to go into business together. They called their farming business 'Ferragine Bros.' and it grew as their families did.
Ferragine Greenhouses is a family run business that has been in operation since the 80's. Solely a wholesale operation at first, in 1995 Tony and Christine Ferragine expanded into retail at 572 Simcoe Road in Bradford. Ferragine Greenhouses continues to provide the GTA with wholesale goods as well as providing their retail clientele a personalized shopping experience.

Although we live far from FG they are still our go to nursery for annuals...especially Proven Winners annuals as their selection is excellent. This past spring I made contact with Rob and he was really good about getting back to me and doing his very best to set aside the plants we asked for. We very much appreciate such personalized service in these crazy times.

I have shopped here for years and always had a great experience, both in shopping all the selections and the wonderful staff.
However recently I bought a tree from there that did not do so well once I got it home so 2 weeks later, I called in for advice on what I can do and if there was a return policy. At the time I called I could not pinpoint what was killing the tree so I explained that it was shrivelling up and looked dead. After looking closely, It appeared that the tree has some sort of larvae on it and it was quickly dying because of that. When I researched it further I understood this

We ordered all planters and baskets of flowering plants from Frankie Flowers because we could not step out due to Covid. The prices were reasonable and delivered on time and in great condition.
This was our first experience with this nursery and it was a great one. The plants were very healthy and beautified our front and back yards for the whole season.
We're definitely going to order from them this year.

I went here during the pandemic in search of herb and tomato plants as it is now spring and close to the start of the outdoor growing season. Thankfully, the Government of Ontario listed businesses that sell agricultural supplies as essential and still viable to be open. Because I wanted to limit my travel and not browse, I emailed and called in advance to check stock. Replies were quick and informative. When I arrived, signs were posted at the entrance for store polices and to direct the flow of traffic given the outbreak. The greenhouse was so nice that I couldn't help to browse (just a little

I was so happy to find this place open. It’s a big, beautifully set up, bright space with a plethora of amazing plants including veggies, herbs and flowers. The staff are warm and welcoming and there is more than enough room for social distancing in the space. I can’t wait to go back for some more skull planters to paint and cacti! Kristine, thanks for all your help, you were amazing 😊 Can’t wait to return!

I have made two purchases during this pandemic, each time calling in my order. Upon arrival signs were very clear as to where to enter and exit. The store is well laid out so as to help customers maintain appropriate distance. I was in and out of the store each time in under 5 minutes. So thrilled to have this small greenhouse close to home! Their communication and knowledge on the plants I purchased were so helpful! Can’t wait to shop again for my summer garden!
