We are the voice of the freight forwarder, championing our industry in Canada and internationally. CIFFA exists to support our members as they do the complex work of moving goods by air, land and sea. We do that by delivering on high education standards, advocating for the freight forwarding industry's interests and keeping our members informed.
CIFFA's education programs teach to the competencies that we look for when hiring. Their programs are created specifically to support its members, and as a Regular Member company, we know they are teaching the skills and knowledge that we require from our staff.

Services
As facilitators in moving goods around the world, freight forwarders aren't just problem solvers. They are vital to Canada's economy and global supply chains. They enhance Canada's ability to do business with the world. Our Freight Forwarding courses will prepare you to work and succeed as an international freight forwarder.
CIFFA provides in-class and online dangerous goods certification options. You can feel confident that our training and certification meet all Canadian and industry standards, including IATA, ICAO, IMDG, and Transport Canada. This course certifies freight forwarders, shippers and operators. Learners will receive a category 6 certificate compliant with Transport Canada requirements.
This training meets all of the requirements of Transport Canada's Air Cargo Security program. If your business is involved in storing, transporting, tendering and/or accepting air cargo, these courses are for you. A Cargo Security Coordinator (CSC) is known as: "A senior company representative who has the responsibility and authority to manage air cargo security issues and to liaise with Transport Canada as necessary."
Workshops are delivered as scheduled virtual classes with a subject matter expert, or are offered as on-demand courses that can be completed immediately. CIFFA can also provide your business with customized training on any of the topics listed here. This workshop clarifies the terminology, parties and procedures involved in a successful execution of a letter of credit transaction.
Regular Membership is for companies that provide Freight Forwarding, Load Broker, and Carter/Drayage services. Associate Membership is for all other companies. You comply with CIFFA arms-length By-Laws for businesses that are subsidiaries of a primary carrier, or that are owned (in whole or in part) by any shipper, consignee, exporter or importer.
