Services
How did the funeral home begin? In 1935, A. Millard George began the London Funeral Service located at 104 Dundas Street. The business later moved to 339 King Street, where the firm operated as Irving and George Funeral Home. After purchasing the property at 190 Wortley Road, Mr. George established the A. Millard George Funeral Home, which operated in Old South London from 1940 - 1968.
When your loved one dies you may feel overwhelmed with the number of decisions you are required to make within a short time frame. One of the main decisions you'll have to make will be whether choosing burial or cremation. A funeral service may include a day of visitation (2-4 & 7-9 pm), with a funeral service the following day in either the funeral home chapel, a church or place of worship.
After graduating from the University of Ottawa, I pursued my dreams of becoming a licensed funeral director by enrolling in Humber College's Funeral Service Education program. New to London, I am looking forward to experiencing the beauty of the city with my partner, Wilson and pekingese, Boston. After completing a high-school co-op and working part-time at AMG, I attended Humber College.
Following a loved one's death, many decisions must be made within a short timeframe. But at a time when you are likely emotionally distraught, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Sometimes, arrangements have been made in advance with a family physician or nursing agency for your loved one to die at home.
The decision to prearrange your funeral service is a difficult choice. However, planning today gives you peace of mind that comes with knowing your wishes for funeral arrangements have been decided. Prearranging your funeral plan allows you to make important decisions at your convenience. As a free service, an A. Millard George funeral prearrangement counsellor can provide you with a My Memorial Wishes - Personal Request Booklet.

I cannot express how grateful I am of AMG. From the very beginning they were respectful, dignified and compassionate. They answered all of our questions and concerns. David was always there to help us through this difficult time either through email, phone call or showing up at the funeral home. The facilities were beautiful. Thank you for everything you did for our family, you are forever in our thoughts for what you did for us.

AMG staff provided prompt, efficient and compassionate service during the difficult days leading up to and following our mother's recent death. All of the details were handled very smoothly, despite the added complications of COVID-19 restrictions. I felt very supported throughout the entire process, as I did when AGM looked after our father's funeral five years ago. Thank you for your thoughtful, kind and attentive service.

My father passed on February 8,2020. My mom and I went to see them re my father's body and funeral arrangements. We were met at the door by Dave who is a funeral director and owner. They were very caring and very very pleasant. We discussed everything with them. They were not pushy or demanding. They were considerate and truly supportive and sympathetic for our loss. They helped us in every way to make this an easy process.
They are a God's sent. They are truly a fantastic and amazing people. We loved dealing with them and would highly recommend them.

I would like to thank A. Millard George Funeral Home staff for all the assistance and support given in a difficult time.
Annikka and Deb were very professional and provided us with lots of support and guidance.
All the paper work Deb completed for the Government was a tremendous help as we didn't know where to begin.
Deb's checklist / to do list was also very helpful. Lots of stuff that you just don't think of. Big Thank you!
Thanks again for all your help.

Under normal circumstances, I would find it odd writing a review for a funeral home. Sadly, over the past year, I have lost my mother and my aunt. Both took their final journeys through the halls of A. Millard George Funeral Home. Words cannot express how the staff care for the recently reposed as well as their families. I felt sincere compassion and care from everyone I dealt with in ensuring all of our wishes were addressed. Both my mother and aunt had pre-planned their final wishes and even to that end, AMG was thorough and covered every step of the process. No one likes to talk about this aspect

Not long ago my father passed away and Milliard George Funeral home was responsible for the arrangements of my dads funeral. I was impressed with the professional care they took every step of the way during this difficult time in my life. The funeral was well attended and all the staff made that time very easy for our family and friends to enjoy the visitation and service. The facility and staff are top notch and I would recommend them to any one who is looking for a funeral home to handle the affairs of there loved one

My husband placed a call to A. Millard George Funeral Home while my Mom was in palliative care as we needed to begin the difficult process of making plans. Kelly was very caring and sympathetic as she explained the process and reiterated that they would be ‘ready’ when we were.
A few days later when we had to call for their services, they were indeed ‘ready’. During our initial meeting, we met Dave who was professional, helpful and compassionate and made the emotional process as easy as it could be. For that, we are very grateful. We knew Mom was in the very best of hands.
We HIGHLY recommend

Dave and his staff showed extreme professionalism during the most difficult time of our lives. A Millard George Funeral Home allowed us to have the service the way our father requested. They showed compassion from the first initial phone call, and that compassion stayed with the staff until the very end.

Empathy, trust, integrity, excellence and responsiveness, are qualities that represented my experience with Dave and the team at A. Millard George Funeral Home.
Our father had recently passed away. It was unexpected and we had not been prepared for his passing. There were a lot of emotions, let alone important things to think about - like funeral arrangements - that needed to be completed right away . We reached out to AMG and they instantly guided us through the entire process. From the initial meeting to the post funeral meeting with Debbie; Dave and his team were very patient, understanding
