Not only did they help resole some reproduction vintage boots (at a fantastic price) that I was worried about, but they also helped to advise improvements and solved some comfort issues to turn the boots from an occasional wear to now a common wear. I trust them completely with my shoes, and even though it is well out of the way for me to visit them, their service and expertise is peerless and will be my go-to cobbler.

I believe the cobbler to be a professional which is why it’s disappointing he would take a pair of shoes requested to be widened knowing they couldn’t be due to material they are made of. I emailed inquiring about my non leather boots and when I dropped them off asked again if it was possible and was told yes. Upon pick up the cobbler tells me that vinyl can’t be stretched “much” and due to thick lining not much could be done. Instead of wasting my money and his time a call prior to service rendered would have been the ethical thing to do. Hopefully future requests for synthetic material

I've brought several pairs of shoes to the Quality Cobbler over the years, all of which were treated with exquisite care and attention, but this last time was the cherry on top. I brought my beloved eight year old Ugg boots in with two tears in the leather to be repaired before they grew and ruined my perfectly broken in boots. I received a call back and went in to speak to the Cobbler personally; they explained that my boots could not be "invisibly" mended, so being a creative, i requested that they mend them as visibly as possible. Needless to say, i am in LOVE with the job that was done, contrasting

DO NOT take your dry cleaning to this place. They use a One Hour Cleaners on Quadra St. Not only did they ruin a jacket of mine (by not reading the care instructions noted on the jacket specific for leather), he told me to take it back to the store I bought it at and tell them to reimburse me! He said he has his clients do this all the time! He also refused to give me the money back for the cleaning. Since this happened to me, I have heard other horror stories from other previous clients (including one where they ruined a wedding dress 4 days before a wedding and refused to repay the $140 dry

Although I've heard good things, my experience with the Quality Cobbler was not good. A pair of good leather shoes of mine were sent there for re-stitching (via the Classic Cleaners in Mayfair mall). They were not stitched back together properly, the thread didn't match the shoes, and the job overall seemed to be done with little care or concern for my shoes. All in all, just not a great job.
I now have to go through the hassle of taking the shoes elsewhere and having the poor work undone and fixed again; here's hoping there's no lasting damage to the shoes.
