It was an authentic old-fashioned style neighbourhood butcher shop, small in size but big in character, complete with sawdust covered floors, sides of dry aged-beef, and a 50ft. The name Meridian Meats & Seafood was chosen for our store's location, situated at an intersection on Coast Meridian Road.
One thing we have proven to be true is that good food brings families together. Over the past 30 years, plenty of relatives and whole lot of friends we call family have made our business what it is today. It all started with our Dad, Darrell Penner, who from young age dedicated himself to becoming a master of the butchery trade.
Always Fresh - Your Butcher Bundle is assembled with the same fresh, high-quality meats we sell in our meat display case. After we custom-wrap your order, we then freeze it to seal in the freshness. Orders can be sold unfrozen if you prefer, just advise your preference when ordering. Custom Wrapped - Tell us how you'd like each item wrapped and your wish is our command! 1 lb.
When you visit any one of our 8 locations, you'll find a wide selection of 100% Grass-fed Beef Steak Cuts & Roasts. Grass-Fed Beef is healthier, more nutritious beef with healthy levels of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. Along with all of these benefits, we guarantee exceptional flavour and tenderness.
Wagyu is the Rolls Royce of beef, the food of Emperors and Samurai warriors. Our grass-fed & finished Wagyu ribeyes are sweet, nutty, juicy, tender and just downright delicious. Our Wagyu steaks are hand-cut ribeyes with a marble score of 6, which means they're rich and buttery without being overwhelming.

Absolutely the best customer service and most fantastic products. There was a mix up with a turkey breast roast I picked up from the Tsawwassen store and the customer service and store fixed the mix up by couriering the correct product to my home . Amazing service . Thank you so much to Amanda and the whole team . You guys rock . Merry Christmas .

What a pleasure it was to enter this store. I just went for the first time and experienced the most friendly attentive service by everyone there. The manager came out and personally helped me find what I was looking for, gave me his card and told me to let him know whatever I needed and he could have it ready. One of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had to date. So glad I’ve finally found a good local butcher with good quality meats!
