Tara from Attic to Alley Home inspections was very thorough in her inspection of the home we were purchasing. Tara was great. The walk-through was thorough and helpful, and the final report was delivered promptly and efficiently (report comes in HTML or PDF varieties). She is also very personable and easy to talk to/ask questions.
The only issue I have is not with her nor her business specifically:
She is using the online service HomeGauge to make scheduling and report delivery seamless, which is good. However, the service obviously has not-great internet security practices. Cleartext username/password combos are sent to the client by email multiple times, which would suggest they store them in cleartext

Tara was amazing, she was very flexible with our schedule and timing. She was very honest and reliable, she allowed us the opportunity to cancel till the very last hour of our booking if anything changed. I wanted to do some upgrades to improve the efficiency of my home so I asked Attic to Alley to do an inspection to identify any issues. Tara immediately noticed a light stain on my celling so checked the attic and roof. I have two leaking vents and wet insulation in two areas. An easy fix because it was caught early enough but could have gotten much worse. Tara provided a list of deficiencies and recommended priorities that I am now working through. I am very happy with Tara's thoroughness, professionalism & knowledge. Getting this done saved me a lot of money in repairs in the long run.

This is the second Home Inspection I hired Tara to complete, since she did such a thorough job on the first one which included a detailed report of her findings. I don't know much about the inner workings of a home (or condo unit), but she did such a good job of explaining to me exactly where she saw issues, where I might expect to see issues if no further mitigation is performed, and what looks really good. She was very prompt to get back to me, booked the home inspection ASAP, was on time, very kind and I will absolutely be using Tara for any future home inspections!
