Rob and Heather are extremely helpful and their boats are well maintained and very comfortable. I have told everyone we know about our wonderful holiday and cannot recommend the location or Big Rideau Lake Boat Rentals highly enough.

Very friendly. Well-maintained boats. You can tell that they take their boats seriously and make sure that the people renting are capable boaters. We had an amazing week and great weather (and played board games when it rained). Navigated the locks to Jones Falls and back. The owners provided additional kayaks for the kids and took care of making sure that we had everything that we needed.

Just back from an amazing week on the 36 x 12 Colonel By with our 3 kids (11 – 16). This was our first house boating experience and we loved it! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, swimming, great fishing and all the wonderful people we met. Heather and Rob keep the boats in great condition with well-appointed kitchens. They were good enough to give us 3 kayaks for the kids and we used them every day. The kids were pros at going through the locks thanks to Rob’s instruction and help from the locks staff; a great teamwork experience! It was one of our most memorable holidays and we can’t wait

Amazing week on the Pinta!!! Heather and Rob are fantastic to deal with and made the process of starting the vacation very easy and seamless. The lock staff are helpful and so knowledgeable.

Be careful with this company/owner. I called to inquire about renting a boat from this company and I found the owner very rude and condescending when I called to inquire about renting. Her answers were vague and she was extremely rude when I asked about availability for certain dates because she said the weekly rentals depended on when the dates were available.
I do not recommend renting from this company and I’ve already put the word out to family and friends who wish to rent this summer and to NOT rent from this company.
Very disrespectful. 0/10 would NOT recommend. The owner needs a lesson

What a great way to spend a week in the fall. The leaf colours were awesome. The fishing was very good and our Houseboat Nina was perfect. Everything worked well and our boat was clean and tidy and ready for us on arrival. After a quick once over with Heather and Rob we were on our way.
Loved going through all the locks. Such a beautiful part of the world.

The Best Houseboat Trip ever, our familyenjoyed our travels down the Rideau Lakes so much with this company, the waterway and all it has to offer spectacular scenery and clear water , the quaintness is second to no other, today we booked again for next year, they have thought about everything to have us wrte a 5 star Reveiw . Nothing is less than perfect . The boats are so well maintained and lots of extras at no costs. Don t let the affordability fool you, they are truly an upscale operation from start to finish.

We had a wonderful trip in July 2019 with a Big Rideau Lake houseboat. We're a family of 4 and the kids (aged 7 and 9) had an amazing time swimming and kayaking every day. We stopped at picturesque towns, beautiful old locks and amazing islands. It was truly a dream holiday. Absolutely recommend it! The company is professional and honest and the boats are very clean and in great shape.

This is the second year we have rented from Big Rideau Lake houseboat rentals. The boat are amazing. They are clean and very comfortable. We plan on renting again next year. Heather and Rob think of everything. When we arrived Heather even helped me put away some of the things we had brought on the boat. They are always very helpful.. Love relaxing on their boats. A great vacation experience. Rented one week last year. Enjoyed it so much rented for 2 weeks this year.

We ( 2 couples) rented a houseboat from BRLBR in August and had a fantastic time cruising the Rideau system. Much of our enjoyment was attributed to the lovely boat ( we had the 37') and how well equipped it was. We met other houseboat renters along the way who had rented from other companies and we realized how lucky we were to have booked with these guys. The kayaks were an obvious bonus but so was the great BBQ, the easy access in and out of the water and all the small touches that made life aboard so easy.

I rented a houseboat with my father so we can get away from the hustle and bustle. I definitely did not regret it. The owners are very knowledgeable and very accommodating. They allowed us to bring our bicycles on board. We booked in advance just to be safe to ensure we got a 40-foot houseboat. All of their boats are clean, functional and easy to drive. I will definitely do business with them again.

My husband and I just returned from celebrating our 25th anniversary on the 37 foot "Nina" and had an absolutely wonderful time! The boats are extremely clean and well maintained. When you are spending two weeks on the water you want to make sure that the boat you are dependent upon has fully operational systems and the Rideau Lake Houseboats did not disappoint. Everything that we needed for our journey was included and we were particularly happy with all the of kitchen appliances/tools that were provided (right down to the cork screw for wine and cheese grater for our parmesean cheese!!) It is an absolute pleasure working with Big Rideau Lakes Boat Rentals.
