In light of Ontario's move into Step 1 of reopening we have some updates to share with you. Round Robins start this week. Stay tuned for an update - you'll receive an email about round robins and the ladder and how to sign up for both in a few days. They begin next Monday with the first Round Robin on Wednesday the 23rd. The practice wall is now open for use. You do not need to book a time - if you want to use it to warm up or cool down you can head right on.
Services
Due to very high court demand and the ongoing pandemic, like in 2020 we will be using an online booking system. To make sure everyone has equitable access to court time, we have a number of guidelines in place for booking courts. Right now, only singles play is permitted and only members can play with other members.
For these you just have to show up a few minutes before they start and the club steward on duty will organize doubles games, changing up the groupings every 30 minutes for 2 hours. Sign up for our club ladder in our clubhouse where you can challenge and be challenged by others to try and move up the ladder.
Below are Elmdale's By-laws. Elmdale's 5-year agreement with the city of Ottawa which is in place until 2022, can be downloaded here. All relevant legislation, in particular the Ontario Corporations Act and associated regulations as well as any successor legislation;.

The Club shall be operated by a Board of Directors consisting of seven directors, elected by secret ballot by all adult members present or voting by proxy at the Annual General Meeting.Validly submitted nominations for elections shall be posted in a conspicuous place in the Club's premises and on the Club's website.
The Elmdale Board has made the difficult decision that camps will not take place this season. The Board considered a number of factors including the modified format in which they would need to be offered, our limited access to an indoor space during the pandemic, and remaining uncertainty around the reopening restrictions in the coming months.

Great local club with many social events. The clay courts are usually in good condition and the staff are helpful and friendly.
