The Place is one of the oldest Pizza and Steakhouse restaurants in N.W. Calgary. It has been proudly serving Bowness and Montgomery since 1974. The Place is a family restaurant with big cozy booths that offer privacy even when busy and a center area that can accommodate up to 15 people. Paul is a lifetime area resident who, besides working at The Place since 1996, has worked exclusively at several Bowmont restaurants.
Hassan, who has owned a couple of popular city restaurants, came to The Place when the cook's job became available in 1996; he has never left. Paul and Hassan each bring over 30 years' experience to The Place.

Since 1974 The Place Steakhouse has taken pride in its food quality, we feel fresh ingredients make the difference! Being an Alberta company, we only serve AAA Alberta Beef, THE best beef in the entire world! Never frozen, our beef is fresh cut to order, promising the juiciest, most flavorful steak we can give you.
The Place Steakhouse is located in Bowness Mainstreet. From the NW, NE and SW you can locate and take Memorial Drive west bound, it will take you right to us! From the SW, it's best to take Sarcee Trail northbound until you reach Highway 1. Cross over to 34 Ave, turn west, follow around until Bowness Road, then turn right, Eastbound.

After looking up pizza joints nearby that all seemed to have horrible reviews. We were happy to find "The Place" with wonderful reviews & testimonials.
Immediately knew when we entered we were not going to be disappointed. Family run & you can really feel the good energy.
Pizza is awesome with homemade crust & sauce with plenty of toppings & lots of cheese cooked perfectly & crispy.
Ceaser Salad with homemade dressing is so good. Really taste the garlic. It reminds me of my mom's!
Will definitely go back !!

Great local restaurant!. Went here for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend and i each had an individual sized pizza and shared the potato skins for an appetizer. the individual booths with lots of privacy is a nice touch and the service was prompt and kind. Definitely some of the best pizza i have had in a while with fresh ingredients and a nice tomato sauce .my daughter really enjoyed the baked fettuccine. i will be back to try a steak and highly recommend the pizza!

We went to The Place tonight and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful! Quiet yet not too quiet, we felt comfortable enough to laugh out loud and talk normally. The service!!!! The gentleman that worked the front of the restaurant was an absolute treat! Friendly, helpful and very easy to communicate with. We had appetizers and pizza, which was the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. Homemade dough, homemade sauce and cooked perfectly.
I highly recommend “The Place” to go for great food, wonderful service and a pleasant atmosphere!

My husband and I just went for our Valentine's day super at The Place Steakhouse and it was the most wonderful experience! The staff was amazing and made sure we had a good experience, very friendly and professional. The food was amazing! We both had the top sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection! Way better than the Keg! We will defenitly be back! Thank you The Place Steakhouse for a wonderful Valentine's day super 💖

The stumbled on The Place looking for a place to dine in as many places do not offer dine in service during this Covid 19 event. We sure are glad we went. Don't let the 70's steakhouse decor deter you. For us it enhanced the experience! The staff are truly excellent. Friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and served piping hot. So nice on a wet Sunday evening. We would not hesitate to go back. Places like this are becoming more rare, so please check this place out and understand why this place still exists in an age of craft beers and single origin coffee.
