Services
You do not need a referral from your doctor for foot orthotics or off-the-shelf support items. For example, you do not need a referral for braces. A prescription or referral is often required if you have health insurance coverage. A prescription is also required if you are eligible for Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL).
Using a prosthesis has the potential to improve your quality of life, safety and also activity level. Prosthetics are for activity-specific tasks or for everyday use. Want to save time as well? For your exam and to allow for the possibility of taking a cast, please wear loose fitting comfortable clothes, shorts or short sleeves as appropriate.
Orthotic bracing is used for pain management, to prevent the risk of injury or re-injury, and post-operatively. Want to save time? Your first appointment will include an initial assessment and a chance to meet your specialist and ask questions. Be prepared to discuss your medical history and talk about your goals and expectations.

We have been taking our infant daughter to Colman for several months now and we can't say enough good things about the service and care we have received. Our orthotist's Matt and Melissa have been so great. They are competent, caring and have taken such great care of our daughter. They take the time to explain what they are doing and why, answer all our questions and have always been really personable and accommodating.
The front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming as well.
Thank you to everyone at Colman but in particular Matt and Melissa for taking such good care of my family!

Great staff and excellent service. I took my daughter there to get some new orthotics. Mark was great and really took the time to go over everything thoroughly and chatted with my daughter about sports and activities while he was gathering information and taking the casts of her feet. New location is fantastic with lots of parking. I would definitely recommend them.

Colman P&O is by far the best in Calgary. I have had International level athletes use them for orthotics and the products provided helped immensely. I have had orthotics custom fitted for me and they have made a world of difference. Ken and the staff are professional, courteous and do a fantastic job. Highly Recommended.

The new location is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I was having trouble with sore feet from running and I was able to get an appointment right away. Ken helped diagnose the issue, gave me some advice on some new running shoes, and set me up with an awesome pair of new orthotics. I haven't had any issues since.

When I walk into the office their so friendly and respectful and they get you in right away. The office is clean and tidy.
My prosthesis is very professional and caring, he listens to me and we work together to solve the issue. He talks me through everything that he's going to do and not do to make it better for me to become more active. Love him to pieces and I would recommend him to anyone

I was referred to Colman by my physiotherapist and they were great to work with. They were accommodating when booking my appointment, it wasn't months in advance, and also sent a reminder text message for my appointment. Receptionist and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Would go back for anything else needed.

I have been a patient at Colman Prosthetics since my traumatic below knee amputation in 2011, I have always had a great experience with the prosthetic team and the office staff. Everyone is very friendly and courteous, they always do whatever they can to get me in for appointments in an emergency. The prosthetic team is very passionate about helping me regain my mobility and get me back to doing all the activities I want to do (skating, running, snowboarding, weight training and swimming).
