Services
Kelly has been living and practicing body work and massage therapy in Halifax for over twenty years. He became interested in the body/mind field in 1981 while living in northern Quebec where he was introduced to Yoga, acupuncture, meditation, Therese Bertherat's Antigymnastics, and Eutonie (a body awareness approach pioneered by Gerda Alexander of Denmark).
About 20 years ago, Kelly did 6 treatments for me which released many years of tension in my body - some going back to childhood. Since then he has kept all that pain and tension from returning. I play piano and lead a very active life which often causes problems in my body. When I've screwed something up, I can count on Kelly to deal with it.
Our wisdom is often there in the murky world of sensation or feeling and requires patience to enable it to come to consciousness. This practice can be done alone but is best done in partnerships and can be used in therapeutic settings as well. Kelly Beale completed his "Whole Body Energy Focusing" training with Dr. Karen Whalen in the fall of 2008.
What is Feldenkrais? Feldenkrais is a method of movement re-education. The work is gentle yet precise in the way that it stimulates change in the nervous system, improving ease of movement and coordination in the body. Feldenkrais provides a means of altering unconscious, dysfunctional patterns which cause the body to work against itself.
