Since 1991 Owen has worked in the insurance industry for some of the major companies. In 1994 he made the decision to enter into the family business to carry on the values of Gwilliames & Associates for the future. Obtaining Principle Broker designation and Life Insurance Agent designation. On a peronal note, Owen is a cancer survivor.
In 2008 he was diagnosed with 2 separate cancers at the same time Kidney and Colon stage 3. After 12 rounds of chemo over 6 months he continues to this day being cancer free. His outlook on life is that you never take any day for granted and you live your life to the fullest as one never knows what tomorrow will bring.
