My name is Gilles Mnard. I am the creator, owner and broker of Ziglu. I became a REALTOR in 2000. I started my real estate career with Royal LePage. I quickly realized that the traditional model of real estate wasn't for me. I loved helping people sell and buy their homes, but the high costs of real estate services bothered me quite a bit.

They don't send the full leads. They communicate with the clients before sending it. So if they find another property they will take the potential client there than sending the client to the contacted property. So you are actually loosing your leads and they build their client base. There are other real estate agency who will forward all the leads.

Gilles did such an amazing job with us for our first home purchase. I really liked the idea of his sharing model and doing my own research and then pulling in an experienced realtor to help with the negotiations, paperwork, etc. once we found a property we wanted. Gilles was very friendly and helpful. He was great at explaining everything, answering all of our questions and never put any pressure on us. I used the low MLS flat listing rate with Ziglu and I'm very pleased with the results. I sold my condo within a week and saved a substantial amount on commission. What sold me on Ziglu was the fact that Gilles was very sympathetic to home sellers/buyers and the high commission rates being paid. He was very prompt in his responses and I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

Gilles provided sound advice about when to list the property and commissioned professional photographs of our condominium. We received a good offer in less than one week and his advice was valuable in negotiating the final selling price. He also kept us well informed as the buyer's conditions were met. As well, we saved about $9,000 compared to typical commission costs on our sale. Our experience was very positive and we recommend Ziglu to real estate sellers and buyers.

We invited Ziglu and Remax to come to our house and give us the rundown on what services they have to offer and an estimate for the value of our home.
Remax basicaly have one product/service at a fixed price of 5%, no flexibility in their services or price.
As for Ziglu, there is a variety of different products/services available, with matching variable prices. Without going in details, Ziglu offers a very basic service which is listing your house on the MLS (same MLS site that Remax or any bigbox realtor use) at a very competitive price, to a full blown realtor service of 0.5%; and other product

I used Gilles to put an offer on a house that was not accepted. I was not aware that I had signed a BRA with him at the time I signed the paperwork for the offer. After looking at another house with him that was going to have multiple offers, I felt that he was not comfortable entering a bidding war and didn’t offer the advice I was seeking. I chose to change my representation to an agent I felt more comfortable with.
