Dental cleanings and exams at Southland Dental Clinic of Regina are designed to improve and protect the health of your mouth. Of course, every dental exam also involves a cleaning to remove plaque that regular brushing and flossing often miss. In addition, hardened plaque, tartar, can only be removed via a professional cleaning.

Placing an amalgam filling (mercury, silver and other base metals) has been the typical procedure for fixing cavities in back teeth for many years, but our position is that we do not place amalgam fillings in our patients' mouths. There are now several tooth filling options available at our Regina Dental Clinic, depending on your needs.
At Southland Dental Clinic of Regina, we do plan for dental emergencies. In fact, we offer same-day emergency dental care to accommodate unexpected dental issues. Due to the critical nature of emergency situations, we assign blocks in our daily schedule specifically allocated to dental injuries or unforeseen accidents.

Called first thing in the morning because of a wicked toothache and the receptionist on the phone was such a sweetheart; she got me in a couple hours later. I have really bad anxiety about going to the dentist but Dr. Rusteika and his assistant, Kara, were phenomenal! He thoroughly explained the option for a course of treatment he was going to take to fix the issue at hand and talked me though how we should go about fixing some other dental problems that I have. 6 hours later at home, the freezing is worn off and I’m a good 90% pain free! Safe to say I’ve found my new dentist. Thanks Dr. Rusteika

I cannot express enough how wonderful the experience was that I had in this clinic. I have not been to a dentist in 10years due to being anxious about dentists. I told them this at the office, and they were so understanding. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. The receptionist greeted me and was so kind. The person who took my x-rays was absolutely wonderful! She explained everything and visited with me which really calmed my nerves. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was amazing! Dr.Rusteika is fantastic and his staff are wonderful. I have been a patient of his for over 12 years and many of my friends and family members have transitioned to his care because of how happy I have been with the service he provides. We have 6 children ranging in age from 13-3. It is very difficult to get medical check-ups for all the children at the same time unless you want to book an entire afternoon off work.
