Hanging on the wall in our office is an insurance policy written by Hugh Bertram. The policy was written in 1897. It insured a farmhouse, contents, 2 barns, a stable, shed and related contents. The annual premium on the policy was $103.00. Hugh's son Ron took over the insurance business after his father passed away in 1941.
