Corporations are legal entities and are treated as an individual. Corporations are taxed at a lower tax rate than individuals. If you operate a business it may be appropriate to incorporate. One of the benefits of incorporating is limiting the liabilities of the owners. If the business is sued the owners or Shareholders are not generally liable.
For a married couple it is usual for each spouse to give their assets to the surviving spouse and in the event both spouses are deceased transfer their assets to their children.
When the children are young it is particularly important to consider the possibility of the entire family being killed in some tragic event, a car accident, for example as consideration as to how you wish to dispose of your assets in that eventuality should also be considered.

Understand first and foremost this: I only got a lawyer as I was a father seeking sole custody as I had never had an arrangement prior to my ex hitting rock bottom. Again.
I could have walked in and out of court without a lawyer, but as I have the money and I AM a SINGLE FATHER in a community that sides often against good dads and favours moms as has been the historical norm, I went for the sure thing. I "lawyer-ed up"
I hired a jr lawyer NICOLA TY who at the time was in the employment of Murray & Thomson.
I went through the process of them learning the details of everything they needed to know
