At true north Dental, we realize the importance of early detection of any dental problems your child may have. We stress the importance of dental care, even at an early age. Schedule an appointment for your child before the age of 3 and one of our dentists will examine their teeth and give you guidance on how to best care for their young mouths and their individual needs.
A dental hygiene appointment consists of diagnostic x-rays, exam of your teeth and gums, scaling for removal of calcified deposits (tartar) from your teeth, polishing for removal of stain and plaque, and a fluoride treatment. The frequency of a dental cleaning depends on your individual needs, which will be decided upon with the dentist, the dental hygienist, and yourself.
At true north Dental, we provide our patients with the most up-to-date procedures and use the best materials available on the market. We will use the material that is best suited for every situation. We use composite or "white" filling material, as well as amalgam or "silver fillings" material. We will discuss with you the best option depending on the aesthetics and longevity of a filling.
Dental crowns and bridges are an excellent way to restore misaligned teeth, repair broken teeth, and make your teeth resistant to future damage associated with daily function. The purpose of crown and bridge work is not only to make your smile more complete, they are regularly used to repair fractured teeth, severely decayed teeth, or damage due to trauma.

Excellent experience. I have been with True North Dental Group (formally known by another name) since 2022. Throughout the years, I have always had complete faith and trust in their ability to analyze the problem and proceed with the appropriate treatment. And, the treatment was 100% painless. The staff has always been courteous and respectful! I love Dr. Gerner because he is such a good doctor and I am such a bad patient. :-) Kathleen is the BEST!!!!!

I really appreciate the professionals at this office: dentist (Dr. Gerner especially)are top notch, hygienist are great, Dr. Gerner' assistance are talented and precise and front and back office very efficient and honest(Tracey). I always have fun at my visits. Spirited conversations about music, gardening, generators and other interesting things. I'm never upset to go to Dr. Gerger and the Thre K's his assistants. I would and have recommended him to all my friends.

Doctor Gerner was kind as always..new staff ..associates..did not seem very friendly. I believe the receptionist appeared pleasant...overall I was guite relaxed..and as always..Dr. Gerner is my best dentist..for my *teeth*"and always ..a kind person..

Never expected to ENJOY a visit to the dentist, but I did. Dr. Gerner and Lindsay Booth were so friendly, warm, and kind. I've never had more interesting conversations at a dentist's office! And, after having encountered dentists who pushed cosmetic procedures, I like their very practical approach: Teeth don't have to be or look perfect, they just have to work.

This is my first dental office after going to the same dentist for most of my life then having a less than favorable experience at another practice for about 2 years. I’m pretty confident this will be my final dental destination. I can’t speak highly enough about the staff at True North Dental, from the receptionists to the doctors, Dr. Hanna, specifically. They are warm and welcoming, helpful and professional while also being so personable. I find them to be thorough, competent and efficient. I don’t ever think I’ve left a dentist’s office with a huge smile on my face. I highly recommend

Dr. Karpa is exceptional. I have been coming to see him for over 30.years! My daughter was terrified of needles at the beginning but now she loves coming here. Dental assistants Mel and Tammy are fabulous and the front office staff are friendly and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this business.

I literally shake when I think about going to the dentist. As of recent, I found True North Dental and honestly, my visits to the dentist are no longer a scary thing for me. My dentist (Dr. Karpa) is wonderful and puts me at ease. He is very concerned about my comfort and talks with me about the procedure and makes sure that I am okay during the procedure. He is such a caring doctor and I am so happy that I found him. Overall, the staff at True North Dental are amazing and wonderful people. More than 5 stars!!!
