When a marriage ends, the equal contribution of each person to the marriage is recognized. The law provides that the value of property acquired by the spouses during the marriage and still exists at separation must be divided equally between the spouses. Also, any increase in the value of property owned by a spouse at the date of marriage must be shared.

Chris has been my lawyer for just over a year now. When I first contacted Chris, agreement discussions were at a standstill with my ex. I spoke with Elliot Song he was very informative and compassionate. 2 years ago I found myself in the unfortunate situation of needing a divorce and was recommended to Chris Martin, my case was a contentious one and I was terrified of losing my children. From the first moment of being in his office he put my fears to rest and let me see that I need not worry about this fear coming to fruition.
