The Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC) is a registered non-profit organization. PABC has been serving its 2,800+ members for over 75 years. Founded in 1927 as a Branch of Canadian Physiotherapy Association, The Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC ) was incorporated in 1945. PABC is governed by physiotherapy members who are elected to the Board of Directors.

As the voice of our members, PABC ensures members have access to practice support, professional development and advocacy avenues to provide opportunities for people in BC to receive quality care that keeps them moving for life. PABC represents our members to government, health authorities, insurers, other stakeholders and the public.
Services
The members' section includes access to our valuable Library Resources, the ability to publish Marketplace Postings free of cost, access to the private Virtual Forum to network with other members and more. The Physiotherapy Association of BC represents over 2,600+ members, including physiotherapists, physiotherapist assistants and students.
As a member-focused association, PABC offers all members the opportunity to have their say, get involved and help move the profession forward. Member Demographics help inform the many initiatives implemented at the strategic level; everything from the benefits we offer to what we communicate is created with members in mind.
PABC is diligent in its efforts to make real and lasting contributions to physiotherapists in BC. I will dedicate my time, knowledge, and clinical experience towards the advancement of the profession. I will share my expertise with students and colleagues to help them provide high-quality, effective, and evidence-informed care. I will support others in their quest to become active members of the profession and to assist students and colleagues to realize their potential.
Committee volunteers are vital in ensuring the decisions PABC makes are representative of our diverse membership base. The Standing Committees meet regularly to help move important and exciting initiatives forward. Depending on how much time you have to commit, there are different volunteer opportunities available to you.

PABC website was super user friendly! So easy to search a PT close by or by speciality. I recommend it to all my friends and colleagues!! PABC helped us find our stellar PT for our daughter. Her reoccurring leg pains are now gone and she can excel at martial arts again.

The most recent letter sent by PABC to CAPR, 2021-03-30, regarding the cancellation of the clinical exam (PCE) is yet another example of leadership that engages in blaming rather than one of assuming full accountability by the profession. Had it not been for the most recent crisis that occurred, this inappropriate approach to assessing the candidate's "competency" (PCE) would have never been considered an issue because prior to this fiasco, the CPA and PABC had together endorsed the PCE, aligning with regulators and CAPR. I went to see Naz for physiotherapy. She did IMS on my shoulder and my shoulder pain got better in only 2 sessions. She is very understanding and I recommend her to all my friends.
