Services
Dr. Dunk is the owner of Activate Chiropractic & Wellness Clinic and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She is one of a few specialists in Ottawa that practice a gentle chiropractic technique called the Activator Method. Her family-based practice regularly sees pregnant patients and children as well as adults wanting to continue to experience good physical health with age.
The Activator technique is a traditional low force technique that is appropriate for patients of all ages. For patients that are seeking non-manual chiropractic care, Dr. Dunk would be the expert to consult. Drop Table Technique This system involves using a drop-away table mechanism to achieve gentle adjustments.
A foot orthotic consultation with one of our chiropractors will involved a thorough gait analysis and an examination to determine if you are a candidate for foot supports. Your feet will then be casted using an accurate foam casting technique. Our Orthotics are made in one of the best labs in Ontario.

I had always been sceptical about chiropractors and didn’t have much faith. I’ve tried a few in the past but didn’t stick with it. That’s until I started seeing Dr. Brar at Activate. He has put me back together several times with different issues. He is so calm and optimistic in the way he treats his patients. From head to toe he knows his stuff. Also I think his laid back attitude when it comes to treatments is so different he instantly gained my trust. Not having to dish out a huge amount of money at once was a bonus.

Dr. Brar is absolutely amazing. I remember my first appointment a few years ago - I went in for a free consultation at another clinic and told him how scared I was of cracking any bones. He made sure I was comfortable and explained the activate method vs. Manual adjustments. I went in with migraines 3 or 4 times a week and now I am down to one… every few weeks. When he left his last practice, I tried seeing another practitioner but found myself always sore afterwards and felt like a number - in and out. Dr. Brar is an incredible chiropractor! I have been seeing him regularly for the past year for hip, back and shoulder issues as well as for regular realignment adjustments.
In my experience, Dr. Brar has a very special gift of intuition for chiropractic and can pin point a problem and correct it through his unique adjustment techniques. I highly recommend him.
