In 1994, I became a licensed real estate agent with the Canada Real Estate Assocation which entitled me to use the title of REALTOR after my name. I'm proud to have passed the training and received my credential with a high score. This same year, I joined Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty - Ladysmith Branch, as a fully qualified practitioner of real estate on Vancouver Island.
Effective communication greatly increases my ability to negotiate on your behalf, the buyer. It comes from listening and understanding, and allows people, that are part of the buying process, to properly exchange ideas. Experience and continuing education are the foundations of my commitment to the buyers that I work with.
Many home sellers ask, "What does a REALTOR do for me?". The easiest answer is comprehensiveness, which means that I follow an extensive checklist during your home sale and, using experience and knowledge, prioritize the items based on your particular transaction. As a REALTOR, I have a wide range of legal obligations and duties to protect clients, like fiduciary duty.
Ladysmith Town Hall describes our town as "a spirited community that values its small town quality of life, where we work together as stewards of our heritage, environment and economy". Ladysmith is a place for people of all ages and backgrounds and it's one of the fastest growing communities on Vancouver Island.
A man named Albert E. LePage, a Canadian revolutionized the real estate industry in the country by being the first agent in Toronto to turn buying and selling homes into an accessible and professional enterprise. He actively sought clients through follow-up inquiries, took buyers from house to house by car and used descriptive ads in newspapers - all industry standards today.
