I am a Hamilton-based Social Worker in private practice. I offer individual psychotherapy that is grounded in a contemporary psychoanalytic understanding of the therapeutic process. I take a client-centered approach to each new counselling relationship, drawing on tools and strategies from integrative trauma therapy, emotion-focussed therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy and stress reduction techniques as appropriate to each client.

There are times in everyone's life when events or experiences overwhelm our ability to cope, and we turn to those around us for help and support. Sometimes, though, talking to a professional is the best option. Psychotherapy can provide dedicated support during times of stress and struggle, helping you take care of yourself and start feeling better.
I currently have several weekday daytime openings, as well as some limited evening and weekend availability. Please contact me for more information. It's important to find a psychotherapist that you feel comfortable and optimistic about working with. There is no standard answer to this question.
