Our office opened in Sherwood Park in 2013, and we continue to provide sound, professional, and calculated direction in the areas of Divorce, Family, and Criminal law. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta, Darren Queck has been serving people in the greater Edmonton since 2010. He combines compassion with common sense to his practice in the fields of Family Law, Real Estate, and Wills and Estates.

Michelle Karasinski has been practicing primarily family law since she became a member of the Law Society of Alberta in 2012. She articled with a general practice firm and has experience in many areas but found that family law was the area where she could really get to know her clients and make a difference in people's lives.
Kim offers her clients over 18 years of practice experience. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 from Augustana University College, and her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2000 from the University of Alberta. She is currently a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
Prior to law school, Kim worked as a social worker assisting clients in obtaining financial benefits through social assistance, employment counseling, and obtaining child support.Following Law School Kim practiced in the area of personal injury, insurance defence and Worker's Compensation. Eventually she moved into a general practice as staff counsel with Legal Aid.

Kelsey was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She moved to Edmonton in 2007 to complete her post-secondary education, completing both her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. While in law school, she volunteered with the Student Legal Services Criminal Law Project and participated in an internship at the Youth Criminal Defence Office.

I was a client of Amir Farooqi and I would never recommend this law firm. I had the decency to talk to Darren Queck before contacting the Law Society but also got nowhere with him either. If you want to see what transpired, please contact me.

Being in any situation where a lawyer is needed is nerve racking and there are so many out there. Finding the right lawyer is even worse! Thankfully, Kimberly Kirk came highly recommend. She showed professionalism, integrity and went above and beyond in representing and guiding me through the entire custody process. Kimberly is passionate, knowledgeable, caring and above all fair. I hired Kimberly Kirk to represent me through a high conflict, arduous, contentious custody dispute. She was thorough each step of the way. She is an excellent communicator, and was extremely well respected by judges and other lawyers in and out of the courtroom. I felt safe having her navigate me through an onerous court case, and in the end we were successful. I can't thank her enough. She also a terrific sense of humor and used it at appropriate times. Reminding me to still live and laugh. This made her much more authentic and affable to me, which are excellent attributes in a family lawyer

Kim is fantastic to deal with. My husbands past divorce was extremely messy and Kim took it on and got everything we asked for. She is realistic, quick to respond and will argue and be heard. She is extremely knowledgeable and will tell you it how you need to hear it.
If you are in the need of a divorce lawyer or a lawyer for a family matter, I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I hired Darren for my arduous divorce. He was down to earth, fair, and very clear and kind with me when I needed explanations, and when he would have to reiterate things because I was so stressed. He is very effective at making his case in court. I do not think like a lawyer and it was amazing to have someone on my side trying to keep things simple, fair, and level headed given the situation. He always tried to keep my costs down and not take advantage. A very admiral quality to have in a lawyer. Without him I would not have been able to navigate my divorce in one piece. I highly recommend him

Although I have not needed to engage the services of a Family Lawyer, if I did need to I would quickly contact Mr James D Henry of Queck & Associates Law Office.

I am so glad I hired Darren 8 years ago to represent me in a very complex and high conflict divorce. He is very effective in court. He is kind, honest, and a compassionate person. Darren will tell you in advance what are your best options and how much money it is going to cost you. Having him as a lawyer means that you can sleep peacefully.

Darren handled my divorce very professionally, straight to the point, and with no hidden twists or turns.
