One Step Ahead Mobility
We offer advanced manual therapy and other proven techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions, including acute and chronic pain, post-surgery rehab, and athletic injuries. Our approach is based on the concept of neuroplasticity: the ability of the brain to change with intensive practice, and to re-learn physical function, whatever the age or medical condition(s).

Whatever your age or medical conditions, our physiotherapists have the advanced knowledge and expertise to help you reach your full potential. We are experts in chronic illness management! One Step Ahead Mobility is dedicated to helping our clients achieve well-being through physical activity and functional mobility.
Services
One Step Ahead Mobility is dedicated to helping people of all ages with diverse and often complex medical conditions- including pain- to reach their full physical potential based on their needs and personal goals. One Step Ahead Mobility is committed to social responsibility and advocacy for individual clients, families, and the community at large.
For years I had difficulty walking and standing, and the therapist worked diligently to straighten and strengthen my legs. I learned to walk with new equipment. The walking poles and Rollator improved my foot placement and increased my speed and balance. Using my aides, I walked further than I have in a decade.
Research shows that specialized exercise and rehabilitation are essential to limiting the impact of Parkinson's disease (PD) and other movement disorders. Specialized exercise as prescribed by a physiotherapist helps to maintain and improve flexibility, strength, endurance, posture and balance.

Rehabilitation helps the person with PD and similar conditions relearn how to move and function more normally, thereby minimizing the challenges of PD on daily life.If you are newly diagnosed, now is the time to contact us and find out what you can do to stay mobile and fit. If you have had PD for some time, you can improve your mobility, function and fitness whatever your physical challenges.
Dystonia is a movement disorder where the person's muscles uncontrollably contract. It can affect one muscle, a group of muscles, or your whole body. When these contractions occur, the result is the involuntary twisting of your body parts and repetitive movements or abnormal postures. Research shows that regular, consistent, and repeated exercises have a positive affect on the symptoms of dystonia.
A Functional Movement Disorder or FMD is a disorder of neurological function rather than of neurological structure. FMD is a very common problem and symptoms include, but are not limited to, tremor, abnormal postures, jerking movements, weakness, and/or problems with speech or walking. These symptoms can result in learned patterns of abnormal movement which, with unchecked repetition, become automatic and out of the person's control.

For All your mobility problems you should see them about having them check out the aches and pains, even if you don't think it's nothing serious. They've helped my wife in a very short time although she suffered for years. At present, they are treating my back, and I am moving alo better already. Don't leave it too long. Worth a check up.
