The scope included designing the HVAC system for the facility to serve the pharmaceutical production. The ventilation system of clean rooms was designed according to Good Manufacturing Practices rules (GMP) and to ASHRAE Standards. The challenge was to design an HVAC system that will provide a high level of clean air while keeping the operation cost at a minimum.
Visibility study conducted to resolve the issues related to the HVAC system in the building. Mechanical visibility study and assessment has been conducted for 2 apartment's multifamily buildings as well as for 42 town. The study provided the owner with recommendation and solutions for their concerns as well as provided the owner with budget figures for the recommended upgrades.
A Water Source Heat Pump (WSHP) system was chosen and designed for this multi-tenant office building to provide a high comfort level, flexibility and high thermal efficiency. A heat recovery unit for the building ventilation system that exchanges the energy between the outdoor air and the exhaust air of the building.
To increase the sustainability, the HVAC system included a combined wood pellet boiler as well as a solar energy collection system designed to heat the building. A 30 Ton horizontal geothermal loop was designed to serve the hotel's common spaces, such as the reception area, lounge, hallways, and swimming pool (these spaces normally will need to be at comfortable level regardless of the hotel's occupancy or the season).
The site includes five (5) multi-family residential buildings with a total of 180 residential suites. A mechanical review study was conducted to review the existing condition of the buildings' domestic water system. Help the Strata to sequence the future pipe replacement among the 5 buildings based on the differences of the existing conditions of the domestic piping system among the buildings.
