ADDICTION can be viewed as a behaviour in which an individual engages to control their level of happiness and peace of mind. The way we experience ourselves often changes from day to day and addictive behaviour is an attempt to regulate such emotional cycles. The emotional repercussions of addiction can be long lasting and devastating for all family members.
Interventions are a professionally facilitated process organized to intervene with some one you love, care about or work with who has an addiction problem. This individual could also be in denial, relapsing and not willing to acknowledge the impact of the harmful, progressive and destructive nature of their disease in their lives but those of family friends and coworkers.

Our Critical Incident Trauma Response Program is a specialized, professional response to any critical incident that evokes an intense emotional reaction and that is potentially traumatic. Traumatic experiences shake the foundations of our beliefs about safety. Emotional aftershocks may appear immediately after, within a few hours or days, and sometimes weeks or months after a traumatic event.
