Sometimes, teeth may be covered with excess gum tissue and may give you something known as a "gummy" smile making teeth appear shorter. Crown lengthening is a procedure where your dentist will reshape your gums and remove some gum tissue in order to show more of your teeth. In addition to exposing less gum, it provides an opportunity for your dentist to complete further cosmetic or restorative procedures in the future if necessary.
Dental bonding places a composite resin filling on the teeth in order to restore decaying teeth, make cosmetic improvements and change the colour as well as reshape the teeth. Bonding is a short process that can usually be completed in one visit to our office. During the procedure, a thin coating is applied to the front of the teeth and the bonding material is then placed on top of the coating.
While you may not see a missing tooth as a big deal, the problems you can run into in the long term are numerous. In addition to the issues that we discussed on our dental implant page, missing teeth can cause surrounding teeth and gums to become more susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease. A dental bridge is a false tooth, known as a pontic and can be used to replace one or mulitple missing teeth.

It is always a good feeling to be greeted with a smile right away as you enter. Being recognized and told that they are ready for you just adds to the feeling of competence. Dr. Morales and staff are professional, experienced, effective and are there to help you maintain your health. The offer easy suggestions so we can do better by ourselves. I have been getting a different hygienist every time I come, for a long time now, unlike how it USED to be. This time was great! Her name was Andrea. She was so thorough, gentle and had good advice for the future. She is very knowledgeable. We discussed a few things that were helpful. I hope she stays here for a long time.

I have been seeing Dr. Morales for years now and have done lots of work. Dr Morales is very honest and trustworthy. She is incredibly knowledgable and has always guided me in the right direction.
