When Ron Daye, President and CEO, founded Rangeland Engineering in 2001, he set out to create a firm that empowered top talent to drive innovation and forward-thinking. He wanted not only to deliver successful projects but to build lasting relationships. Now Rangeland is home to more than 150 experts, partners and innovators who design some of Alberta's most complex energy projects.

We work hard to raise money and are not afraid to run up stairs, donate blood, grow a moustache, or cook some prize-winning chili. If it means supporting causes that touch our lives, we want to be involved. To date, Rangelanders have donated more than $2.4 million to our community. Our much anticipated events are geared towards having fun and giving back to the community that supports our talent, our families and our clients.
We understand that climate change is both a challenge and an opportunity for all of us to find ways to do things better. We are determined to play our part - not just in the way we execute services to our clients, but also in the way we conduct our own operations.
With this in mind, we voluntarily prepared a comprehensive baseline greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory in 2020, following international best practice guidance from the GHG Protocol.Quantifying eighteen different emission sources across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 - from building heating to commuting, from our consumption of water to our production of waste - our 2019 emissions were just over 640 tonnes CO2e.
