One of the most common causes of hind leg lameness in a large breed dog are injuries related to the knee (stifle) joint. So, here are the two most common histories we Veterinarians hear regarding large breed dogs with accutely sore hind legs. Our dog was admitted with Parvo. After 24 hours of care, she was sent home because her fever had reduced, so no need for an IV, but she still wasn't eating or drinking. They thought we could maintain her care at home. We ended up taking her back because she took a turn for worse. Our first bill was $700 and we expressed that we couldn't afford another bill like that. After much discussion, we had decided to have her euthanized. The doctors refused. Within 45 minutes after we had arrived, the doctor told us the prognosis wasn't good. She talked about different

This vet took my call in the dead middle of the night without coming across as inconvenienced or bothered for even a single second, and delivered the utmost care, patience and a balance of being frank and direct, but also careful and not abrasive. They have taken care of my baby boy since last night and it sounds like he is doing okay now, and they detail that they have given me
