Whether your pet has a dental issue or is suffering from being overweight, we've got lots of treatment options available. We believe the key to your pet's long-term health is prevention. Make sure to bring your pet over to get their annual wellness blood profile as well as other important physical examinations we provide.
Services
Dr. Blaney opened the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital in the Sobeys plaza in 1994. As our clientele grew, so did the services we provided and a move to a larger facility was necessary. We moved to our current location and opened the doors in May of 2002. As the technology of veterinary medicine and the needs of our clients advanced, we have continued to upgrade the facilities.
The competent and compassionate staff at Atlantic Veterinary Hospital strives to provide your pet with the highest quality of veterinary medical, surgical and dental care available.

Our full service medical facility offers a wide array of services including physical examinations for wellness or illness, vaccinations, surgery, digital radiology, limited orthopedic surgeries performed on location, therapeutic laser, dental radiology, dental care, preventive medicine, weight loss and senior pet screenings.
The AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) seeks to encourage and facilitate good quality veterinary care for cats. Most cats are highly stressed by dogs and other cats being in close proximity at the practice. Cats have unique medical requirements that Cat Friendly Practices are capable of providing.
Growing up in Northeastern Ontario with one younger brother, Dr. Robinson always had a passion for sciences. Her childhood dog required skin grafts and she was instantly drawn to the veterinary field. Both the challenges and rewards of veterinary medicine piqued her interest. Dr. Robinson graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2003.
Sam is originally from Cape Breton and moved to New Brunswick in 1993. She grew up on horseback and searched out a career where she could help others. We had the pleasure to meet her as a placement student while studying the Veterinary Administrative Specialist program at Eastern College. She was such a great fit for the team, we decided to keep her!

I recently brought my dogs in for vaccinations and microchipping. Staff were all very professional, my dogs were well-cared for during the procedures, the doctor let me know what to expect when I took my dogs home, and he followed up with a call the next day to check on them. I highly recommend Atlantic Verterinary Hospital.

We just started going here and we are so glad they took on our 3 girls. We are very pleased so far with the care they have shown our 3 dogs. Very caring and they take the time to exam and explain any issues. Dr Brookes has been amazing :)

After a very difficult few months, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Sadie, and the doctors and staff were incredibly warm and empathetic throughout her surgeries and treatment, and were very accommodating and extremely kind on Sadie's last day. It made a very difficult process just a tiny bit better, and for that we can't thank them enough. They are a wonderful, caring team.

I’ve been to Atlantic veterinary clinic many times in the past .
Sadly due to having lost my dear little cat Scampi boy to cancer years ago . I haven’t been there in a long while , but I knew exactly who to bring the new member of my home ( little Penny ) when she developed an irritation in her ear .
When I called , I was given an appointment for the same day .
We were welcomed warmly , and little Penny was handled gently and professionally . The staff is so compassionate .
I was shown exactly how to administer her medications , and I’ve been managing well here at home .
Penny isn’t

Our cat, Zachariah, suddenly started displaying very troubling signs of severe bladder/urinary tract problems. Of course it was on a Saturday when our neighbourhood vet was closed. So we called for an emergency appointment, was accepted immediately and we did the 1 1/4 hour drive from the Washademoak to the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital in Rothsay.
Immediately upon arrival we were welcomed at the door by an assistant who gently reassured us, took all the particulars pertaining to Zach, led us to an examination room and introduced us to Dr.Brooks.
Dr.Brooks was an extremely open doctor who related

Leo was welcomed nicely, and taken very good care of. Thorough!!! The vet was fantastic 🙂 So happy they took us on. I was so pleased at the vet following up with a phone call a day after his visit. We have a very healthy and happy guinea pig... Thank you so much.

Highly recommended! Atlantic Veterinary Hospital is a top notch clinic as far as i am concerned. Dr. Blaney demonstrates a strong confidence level which I beleieve puts my cat companion at ease and he seems never rushed. He also is very gentle when handling my senior friend. He also makes preventative recommendations. Everyone there is very friendly. I feel they provide my cat with the best of care always and that is the reason I make the trip from Saint John to the KV. I had switched to a different Vet Clinic when I moved from the valley to Saint John but never seen the concern and interest which
