Services
We're pleased to provide a wide variety of veterinary services for animals in the Fredericton and surrounding areas. Our facility is equipped with full surgical suite, dental area, in house laboratory, radiology and ultrasonography. This helps our doctors diagnose and treat most problems as quick as possible.
Dr.'s Susan and Jason MacArthur graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College and then moved to Maine. They missed their maritime roots and wanted to raise their children closer to family, so they made the decision to move back to NB in 2003. They worked at a local Veterinary Hospital for 2 years before deciding to open Royal Road Veterinary Hospital in September of 2005.
We are dedicated to helping your pet achieve the highest quality of life. Our team provides exceptional care while showing respect for you and your beloved companion. Becoming a client is easy. When we receive your information, a member of our team will be in touch to help you schedule your first appointment.
As a new client of our Veterinary Hospital in Fredericton, you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians or assistants will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
Our reception area is a good place to obtain information on various veterinary topics that are of concern. Ask our veterinary technicians/assistants a question or pick up a handout on topics that interest you. Clients are welcome to drop in any time to weigh their pets on our walk-on scale, and we can easily track their weight progress on our computer system.

Great staff. Very caring about animals and the families who care for them. Staff seek to educate and inform and this is what they did when they saved my dog's life after he was attacked by another dog. The prices are extremely reasonable especially coming from Ontario. When i get my invoice i often say...that's all? I would advise any person to consider these caregivers for their best friend.

They were accommodating with our schedule mix ups but their overall care of our cats was very disappointing. They gave us a medication to stop our cat from vomiting that was meant for dogs (not cats) and caused her to howl, be unable to vomit (though she was clearly trying to get something up), as well as making her uninterested in food and water. This resulted in a call to the emergency weekend vet who told us to cease mediation immediately. We also ran into an issue with cats in our home fighting and instead of selling us the product meant to calm emotions between cats they gave us one just meant
