Dr. Mitch Spooner has always had a passion for athletics. He grew up playing a large variety of different sports until he decided to focus on hockey. He spent four years playing in the Western Hockey League for the Vancouver Giants, Regina Pats, and Seattle Thunderbirds. Throughout his sports career he regularly went to a sports chiropractor for maintenance care.
It wasn't until he started suffering from a series of concussions, that he became more aware of the benefits that chiropractic care can provide. Services
We will perform a thorough physical examination that will include assessment of your posture, joint ranges of motion, muscular strength and neurologic status. If imaging is required prior to your first adjustment you will be sent to your general practitioner for a requisition. Once we determine if you are a good candidate for chiropractic care, we will begin with your first adjustment.
Public demand for Registered Massage Therapy has risen significantly in B.C. Increased public interest in non-surgical and drug-free treatment for musculoskeletal conditions and pain management has further driven the public to seek out RMT's.

Is Chiropractic care safe for pregnant women? Yes, it is safe and beneficial. All licensed chiropractors are qualified to treat pregnant patients. Additionally, all our doctors have undergone additional training in pre/postnatal care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and are certified in the Webster Technique.
In the unfortunate event where you or a loved one gets into a motor vehicle accident (MVA), the chiropractors at Willoughby Family Chiropractic are able to help you get through your pain and injuries with coverage through ICBC. As part of the claim process, you can choose chiropractic care for a set of visits to help you get back to functioning pain free throughout the day.

I highly recommend Willoughby Family Chiropractic! I have been going here for a few years now and have had an amazing experience with both their chiropractic care and massage therapy. Dr. Mitchell is so friendly and helpful! I was seeing him near the end of my pregnancy and it helped so much with my back and hip pain. Now I’m continuing to see him for regular adjustments and it helps so much with any back, hip, or neck pain I experience from just life things (especially as a mom with a busy baby!). You should definitely go see him if you’re needing chiropractic care!

I was referred to the office by my girlfriend. I located the office quite easily, it is just off the highway in a nice complex. Lots of parking. I was greeted at the office by a cute small dog belonging to the office. Dr Spooner is a magician. While I was a police officer, I had back surgery years ago and have been in pain since. Dr Spooner learnt a lot about me during the introduction and was very easy to talk to. Dr Spooner was able to provide me with relief immediately. I have been going one to two times a week since and have found relief during every adjustment. Dr Spooner also helped me understand

I booked a massage therapy appointment with Terry Canning. Upon my arrival, the receptionist told me that Terry will not give me a massage because I am an ICBC patient. I was not told this over the phone when I made my appointment. I said I will just pay for the massage myself, instead of billing to ICBC, because I really needed it and its hard to book appointments with other RMTs last minute - and she still refused me.

Dr. Mitch has been exceptionally patience and kind while working with my 2 year old child. He goes out of his way to make her feel comfortable during the session. The treatments are effective and age appropriate.
The staff are super friendly and helpful.

This was my first time using a chiropractor for an issue that I've been facing for many years. I am so happy that I chose this clinic. The staff and Dr. Mitch were always kind, friendly and helpful! I had many questions, that were always answered. Truly felt like I was in great hands. Dr. Mitch was able to get me back to feeling myself in no time. It was impressive, since other forms of treatment were not working as effectively. If you are looking for someone that is a great listener, professional and friendly - you have to visit Dr. Mitch!

Dr. Mitch and his team at the clinic are excellent. The staff are friendly, professional, and Dr. Mitch is extremely knowledgeable in his practice. Not only have I seen improvements with several chronic back/neck issues, Dr. Mitch also gave me some simple exercises to do at home that have greatly improved the longevity of the results from treatments. I was so pleased with my experience that I referred my husband, and we’ve now taken our pre-teen son here as well for treatment of a sports injury. Would definitely recommend.
