Alison stressed excellence, integrity, and service as guiding principles for the foundation of the salon. She knew these things were essential for a thriving business. These principals successfully fuelled her salon for 10 years in the UK, and she believed she would be equally successful here in Canada.

Alison saw a salon that was modern, creative, and trend-setting while maintaining the utmost in professionalism. The "Envy Culture" was to be the defining characteristic of her salon, and would set it apart in the industry. A constant focus on education, fashion, and customer care would be essential elements in creating a salon like no other.

I had a hair cut. Here are my suggestions for improvement:
- never ask your clients how much we want our hair cut, how many inches, etc. Usually, we as clients, give you the general idea of what we want. Your professionals should be able to make the judgment of what’s needed to achieve what we want, the best you can. You are the specialists and that’s why we pay for your services.
- be more expedite when doing a hair cut. More than a hour for a hair cut seems too long for me

My wife went in for a consultation. First off, they didn't keep the scheduled time. I had to wait in the parking lot a while after her scheduled appointment. Secondly, the male "hairstylist" is lucky that I didn't come back and have a word with him man to man. My wife couldn't get what she wanted done and that's fine. He's been in the business, allegedly for fifteen years. However, he is very unprofessional and has VERY concerning attitude. This guy had the audacity to say to my wife "who's looking at you anyway?" two times after telling her he can't do what she wanted. I really hope your mom,

I have gone to so many salons, prior to finding my amazing colourist and hairdresser Kale at Envy. He has done everything from platinum highlights to a full root melt with balayage and I’ve been thrilled every time.
The salon is clean, bright, I feel very safe with their Covid protocols, everyone is spaced out, no overcrowding. Their product line Davines is amazing… their violet/blonde deep conditioner and strengthening pre blow dry treatment are my favourites.
Love this salon and everyone in it!

Envy Salon has been my go-to salon for a very long time. Everyone there is extremely friendly and professional and that creates a very welcoming environment. The talent of any of the staff will leave you impressed and eager to return. I highly recommend the salon for anyone seeking a pleasant experience with great results.

I live in Toronto and was visiting my mom in Barrie over the holidays. I was desperate to get my hair done after seven months of regrowth. Envy called me with an available appointment with Amy, the master stylist, and I took it. I cannot speak highly enough about Amy's talent, technique and personality. I now have the best, most natural shade of blonde I've ever had. Besides doing wonderful things to my hair, Amy was friendly and chatty and the entire experience was great. I look forward to returning!

Another outstanding cut by Alison. I have short hair and am always pleased with the edgy, easy to style and variety of looks I get out of my cut. Alison really listens and is extremely skilled and precise with her cuts!!

Uncomfortable and disheartening experience by there Master Stylist. I have never walked out of an appointment, but unfortunately I was so uncomfortable that I left before I even had my hair service full-filled. The Master stylist, didn't take the time to listen and jumped to his own conclusions on my hair, he called me a liar when I tried to talk to him about my hair history. I am a extremely busy individual and taking the time to get my hair done is exciting and not something I get to enjoy often. To be talked to in such a way on just the consultation was shocking. After having another stylist from a totally different salon in Barrie destroy my hair I had the opportunity to book with Mandy at Envy and let me tell you I am so glad that I did! She is a cutting wizard! She made me so comfortable and was so educational and friendly. I had to bring my 3 yr old daughter with me to my apt and the entire staff were so good to us the entire apt (especially Jen the receptionist, thank you Jen!) This apt was scary for me going in as I was having to get my hair cut short into a long pixie because it was so damaged but Mandy literally made the whole experience so pleasant

Having just moved to the area I was in search of a new hair salon. I booked with Brittney and I'm so glad that I did! I had a cut and style done by her and I love it! She was so sweet and took the time to understand what I wanted and what would work best for my lifestyle. The check in process was smooth and the front desk staff was so friendly. I can't wait to go back for my next hair cut!

I'm just going to leave here the photos of the "balayage" I had done at this salon, mind you after I called to complain about it and having been spoken to like I was basically dumb as well as being asked "what's the issue?" Over the phone when the photos speak for themselves.. I did go back to have a nice lady semi fix it but the lines are still noticeable which I expected. I'll definitely still have to go elsewhere and have it completely re done. I genuinely feel like I should have just been reimbursed for this, it definitely would have made me a lot less angry

Decided to try a new hair salon instead of my usual Three Small Rooms because they were expensive. Kale or whatever his name was did my hair and I was horrified. He chopped off my hair so unevenly and bleached it blonde that it didn't mesh well with my black hair..... like what the hell. He also kept getting water in my ears and on my face. I dropped about $300 just to go back to my original salon to get my hair fixed FOR FREE.

I wish I didn't pay for the mess that he did on me, and I wish I didn't tip. I can't believe I let him do this to me.

I am a first-time client. I chose the salon because of the great reviews I read online. I got a great haircut from Charlotte. she gave me a long Bob. She was very careful when cutting my hair. My hair was washed and conditioned and I even got a nice scalp massage from Charlotte. I was offered drinks but I already had one. It's hard to find a hair salon that caters to Asian hair but they seem to be experts at working with all types of hair. I didn't feel like they did not know what they were doing they were all very confident and skilled. I'm so glad I found this hair salon. My hair
