We can provide assistance in making your will, power of attorney and representation agreement. We can also assist you in making an application for probate in an estate matter after the maker of the will has passed. Clients often ask "why should I make a will, I when I have nothing to give away".
The premise of a will is not that you have anything to leave to your heirs; rather it is about appointing someone to be your personal representative after you have passed.Your personal representative is called your trustee; previously and also currently called the executor. If you die owning no assets you will still need to appoint a personal representative.

Many couples have problems that they need to work out: guardianship of children, maintenance payments, asset and debt division, future review if there are changes in your income or other situations. It does not always mean that you have to go to court. Most issues in family law can be resolved by way of a written agreement negotiated in good faith between spouses and partners.

Appointments were booked for the purchase of our new home and right before the closing we discovered that Doulas Chiasson seems to have been blacklisted with some lenders. We were told there would be no problems with the signing or the lender by Douglas and then we were left scrambling to find a new lawyer. When I tried contacting him about this, I never received a call back.

Thank you so much for your help!!
Douglas B Chiasson Law Corporation made it so easy for us to deal with something that seemed to be impossible to deal with (towing company and insurance).
The greatest service I have had so far in Vancouver, even though he is located in Squamish. Quick responses whenever I called or emailed, very efficient service, and reasonable prices.
I highly recommend Douglas B Chiasson's Services!
